From the Jeffrey Howarth Archives: With Hurricane Andrew behind us, we ring in 1993 by filming the downtown Miami's Fireworks display from the Port of Miami across Biscayne Bay. We had been set up for over a half hour before midnight but with the last five minutes remaining before the countdown a police officer came up to us and almost ran us off. Returning to Florida after a week in Tennessee/North Carolina. We take A1A through Fernandina Beach and then the Mayport Ferry crossing the St. Johns River, and into Downtown Jacksonville. Later, after a lengthy drive down I-95, we detour back to A1A in Miami Beach for a drive down Collins Avenue. Videography by Jeffrey Howarth (1963-2020).
