    A couple of things stand out for me regarding the BOSIET. I wear glasses and felt a little uneasy in the pool area because everything was blurred as I had to leave the specs in the locker, I'm sure other people have felt the same. The hardest part of the training for me was pulling myself into the life raft, if it was a real emergency in the rough North Sea there is no way in this world I could pull myself in. You need a lot of strength, nowadays I would need a strong young lad to get in the raft first and pull me up by the tag on the back of my survival suit. Good video

    Hello.This is very nice video. Thank you. I have BOSIET +HUET+EBS certificate until 2028. I can't swim. I received an invitation to do a engine repair on an oil platform.But CA-EBS certificate is required. Do I need to be submerged underwater with the helicopter cabin again to get CA-EBS certification? I've done this 6 times. It scares me to do it again. Do I need to do this again to get a CA-EBS certificate? Can I not take CA training only in a dry environment? Thank you verymuch in advance.

    Last time I sat my FOET course in 2020 they didn't make us do the HUET inverted with windows in. Not sure if they are dumbing it down because of a skilled workers shortage or to make it easier for a certain gender.

    Well done video, The GWO is vastly different from the US version currently , as we can't seem to get our off shore going. but our program requires "manual handling" and the 5th part which is off shore isn't required. But thankfully more companies are at least requiring GWO, having been through 3 different course they are not equal. but its a start.

    • @EnergyInsider
      @EnergyInsider 11 місяців тому

      Thanks for the message. I think everyone is wanting BOSIET and GWO to combine to become and ‘all energy’ offshore course. In the UK OPITO are working on something called a skills passport, so that people don’t need to do duplicate training. it will save workers money. Fingers crossed for that.
