@@tonyawhite671 A Karen song don’t sound like a normal 4,5, dominant 6 chord progression. That’s what you hear at white churches. Karen songs sound like they can be a mix between r and b and hip hop. This sounds like a CeCe Winans song. When you gotta winning formula, you should stick with it.

@@AnnStephens196 over the past 40 + years, Twinkie Clark has written numerous songs, and The Clark Sisters have always been versatile in their singing careers, both collectively and individually. They have never been placed within a bubble, so to speak. They have sang everything from hymns to crossovers like "You Brought The Sunshine". From "Finally Karen" to now, KCS's Albums all bring something different to the table. All of her songs are not contemporary. For example, "We Are Not Ashamed" and "Oh The Glory Of Your Presence" are traditional gospel songs. She has done them all. "It's Not Over", which she wrote, is another "Karen song", that is not between hip hop or r&b. That statement about her types of songs is definitely false. From 17 to 64, there's bound to be some changes.

@@tonyawhite671 I’m probably the last person you need to attempt to give a music history lesson on the Clark sisters. Yes, music does change. But I wish the black gospel artists would stick to their formula that made sense. Today’s gospel artists sound like Hillsong praise and worship teams, that repeat the same thing 11xs. Again, this is a contemporary song and I just don’t care for it. It’s just my opinion. It does allow Karen to showcase what she’s really known for it. This ain’t it.

@@AnnStephens196 On the contrary, I'm probably the last person you need to attempt to give a music lesson of The Legendary Clark Sisters to. I have studied them since I was a little girl. My dad was a die-hard Dr Mattie Moss Clark fan and had every album. I am now a die-hard Clark Sisters fan and supporter and a member of their Church. I know that Karen loves hymns and any music that is Christian based. It doesn't matter who writes it, if she sings it, she owns it!!! And who wants to listen to an artist when all of their songs sound alike. There's no such thing to sticking to what works for you, when you can make anything work! That's what makes her the best female singer in the world! But my point was not to argue, but to Simply say, if you don't like it then just don't listen to it! 🤷🏽‍♀️ As far as saying give it to CeCe Winans, another of my favs, that ship has sailed! Sorry you feel this way, but if you don't feel the anointing in this song, you may need to search your heart, and take that up with the Holy Spirit. KCS blesses me with any song she opens her mouth to sing. The anointing is heavy on her life, and it is undeniable when she speaks, sings or simply walk into a room. The people on this new project are also anointed and extremely talented. Anthony Brown is a wonderful writer. Then there is Kierra as creative director, J. Drew producing, her cousin J. Moss and THEE Donald Lawrence who produced the iconic "Finally Karen", also working on this new album, "Still Karen". I don't know if you have listened to "Send It Down" or "Yes", this new single yet, but I can't stop playing it. It is amazing 🙌🏽 and I can't wait until the album drops on 8/23. I hope you pre-order it & let it bless you! Also, if you are near Vegas, she has a free listening party on July 19th where she is doing the entire album. I wish I could be there! I love this for her!

I moved to Detroit in November 2022 after needing a new start, after my baby sister passed away. I actually joined Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Bishop J. Drew Sheard and First Lady Karen Clark Sheard online during the pandemic. I feel like God led me to this church. During my grieving process, I don't know what I would have done without this change, my rededication to Christ and my renewed faith. Bishop Sheard is amazing. 🙏🏼 The Clark Sisters are so real, approachable and down to earth. They prayed for me and with me. My decision to move had nothing to do with them though. My sister and I talked about moving to Houston and Atlanta. Detroit was last on my list, but as I sought the Lord's direction, He kept leading me to GEI. It has been difficult, but so worth it. My salvation is my #1 priority, so I've never been concerned about the dangers of the city. I don't be out there, and in my opinion, Memphis is more dangerous than anywhere right now. Pray about it, and follow your heart. The first time I heard Superintendent Adams speak, he said, "Things may be difficult now, but God will not take you to a new place and abandon you!" 🙌🏽🙌🏽
