It would be nice to discuss more than the Resin Refinery / Chip Sweep combo. Yes, it gives you 2 resin, but you have to draw both cards. By contrast, the Mine only requires the Mine to produce 1 pebble - which according to your last tip, is equivalent to 2 resin or 3 sticks. The main, uh, "sticking" point is that it costs 1 stick more than the Refinery, which means it can be difficult to deploy before Spring. You must have at least one Forest action that gives you 2 of those 3 with a single Meeple. The base actions can't do it. Your other Winter choices are the Twig Barge (2 sticks) or the Farm (1 Berry). They're not as good as 2 resin, but 1 berry's arguably on par with 1 resin if you don't draw the chip sweep. And sometimes you have only the Twig Barge available, or no production buildings at all in your hand or the starting meadow.
Very professional tutorial or rather tips. It's was very helpful. Good luck with channel
Are the cards different now? I dont see the wife or Husband card
Those are the gatherer and harvester now
What cards you taking out at each level tho
Can you use ruins on a dungeon? Maybe I’m noob but I thought the dungeon said on the card “cannot be used with another card playing ability”
Wait, Wanderer takes up no space in your city? How so?
the description on the card says that it takes up no space. i guess the idea is that the wanderer “wanders” around and is nearly never “in the city”
The absolute best combo in the game, in my opinion: Courthouse + Judge + Crane. One game I played, I had the Courthouse and Judge. I then played the Crane for a berry instead of a pebble due to the Judge’s ability. By playing the Crane, I could then get a pebble from the supply due to the Courthouse’s ability. I then used the 3 resource discount from the Crane to play the University for free. I could then get ANOTHER pebble for playing the University due to the Courthouse’s ability again. So, the Courthouse/Judge/Crane combo essentially allowed me to convert 1 single berry into a University + 2 pebbles. It seemed almost unfair how overpowered that combo was.
This is clearly not advanced tips
👍thanks 👍
Another combo that I love pulling out is courthouse/ruins/ruins/ruins ^^ You can ruin a ruin, so basically it's 2 free draws and with the courthouse you gain one construction resource everytime. With the same spirit there is courthouse/crane(s) or shopkeeper/Innkeeper.
Ranger with good red card is also a nice combo to have. Play on your red card, play the ranger to move that worker away, play again on the red card during the same season! Some example that comes to mind is the queen, the university, the lookout or in some cases the chapel (super good if you count on playing a shepperd later and/or there is the special event).
I have a question. When a monster wants to move while he's on the sand devil, does he leave the devil by moving freely, or does the devil follow his movements constantly? This card has a lot of text, but I don't think it explains everything.
lol noob
Excellent, thank you. I'm about to play a game with my friend who beats me every single time...maybe today will be different. You have my sub!
thanks for your explanation.
I really think that hackers is a no brainer in this scenario with Thorgate. Personally i would swap it with Noctis farming, which gives just +1 money production and two plants at a cost of 7 mega credits more than Hackers. A card that also hurts your opponents and gives you +2 money production. of course the 1- minus vp is always a downside, but you will most likely be able to convert the increased income to VPs in later stages of the game. + the seven mega credits difference allows you to play more cards in the first generation. I don't know if i could be wrong about this or if hackers is just a straight up bad card? Cool video!
My left ear apprecated
How often can you activate the chip sweep? Only once or once per round?
Yes when it is played and when a new season arrives with the leaf, but you could use the miner mole to activate it as well
Youve got to be pretty lucky to get the resin factory and chip sweep in the first season
For number 5, I'm pretty sure that the clock tower isn't able to activate the lookout. It only copies the ability of a basic or forest location, that doesn't make it a basic or forest location, and the clock tower can only activate the original locations.
I know I’m 3 months late on a reply. But the 3 times is referring to placing a worker on a good forest location, then placing a worker at the lookout to copy that good location, then the 3rd time is using the clock tower’s ability during change of season to trigger that good location once more.
Sehr gutes Video. Vielen Dank für den Einblick.
I'm also excited to see new gloomhaven content but labelling this "advanced" is a joke. I'd love a follow up video with more tips that aren't things the game teaches you in the tutorial
In "Burn away the dark" carr, what is the difference between "target all enemies within 2 hexes" and don't just say "ranged 2"?
"Ranged 2" targets one enemy and "target all enemies within 2 hexes" - all enemies within 2 hexes
Range 2, Target X would have disadvantage on anyone adjacent.
and this is considered a melee attack some items can abuse this
Thank you very much. Many content creators show how to play but your giving solid strategy. This is awesome.
Thank you!! Super helpful video
Sorry, I wanted to listen to this all the way through and appreciate you posting it, but the sound quality is horrible. I had to stop before the first full minute. I hope this is useful feedback, and good luck to you.
Wow, pretty picky
@@matthewbook6670 Just giving polite and honest feedback that some UA-camrs find useful.
I love Everdell but I rarely manage to pull off crazy combos!
I suspect many of the combos being hard rather than soft synergies(and even the soft ones are often obviously paired) is to blame
@@revimfadli4666 and there are so many cards, the ones I want don’t always show up, or they get grabbed by another player!
Two questions with this game. Should I color and map and/or should I laminate the map 🤔
Nul, jamais on peut gagner avec ce genre de conseil éclatés
Great combos! Thanks!
18 generations! My games I think are like 10. I’ll have to try keeping track
I disagreed with a few things in this video, but at 6:00 I believe this is a mistake. 7 wonders is an interactive game, and you need to consider more then your own points, as winning is determined by who has the most at the end. Often you may take a small loss in points to inflict a greater loss of points on strong opponents. This might come in the form of hiding a crucial card for your strongest opponent underneath a wonder stage instead of picking the objectively largest possible point card available. This is often the case when stopping an all in science opponent from getting that last science card for the 3rd set, or hide a brutal 10 point guild/ massive lighthouse from opponent.
I will suscribe! Keep it up!:)
Thanks. We took a short break having a kid. Looking to get back into the swing of things again.
You can place 6 cities in a circle. Just place 3 normal cities, then use lava tube, noctis, urbanized area on the other.
Awesome. Thanks for the tip. One video we are considering is "how each expansion changes Terraforming Mars strategy". This would certainly be in it.
Nice video! Subbed!
Ok, instead of just leaving a dislike, I'd like to provide some constructive criticism. First off, you can't say Advanced Tips and have a 2 minute video. That's pure clickbait. Second, nothing you said is anywhere in the vicinity of advanced. It's basically how the game works. A complete beginner that knows the rules can pick this up in less than 4 games. I'd suggest you focus more on tips about character building, order of picking your perks (with examples why it is so), picking enchantments for certain classes/cards, optimal items and item usage for certain classes, great ability combos etc. If you're serious about this, you need to put a bit more work into it. Until then, you can change the name to "A few helpful tips for Gloomhaven beginners".
Thank you for the constructive criticism. Our next videos include commonly forgotten rules and starter guides for each of the characters. Hopefully those videos will help you more. Do you have a preferred character we should start with?
@@Bezzro No, not really. I've played a few of the characters and I hope that, one day, I'll be able to say I've played them all.
Excellent goal! Our hope at Bezzro is that we can help you achieve your goal by helping your less experienced friends to skill up more quickly. As you said, the things you learn in those first 6-9 hours of play. We want to make all games more accessible to beginner and intermediate players so they can get to the fun faster. Imagine you sit down and teach a game, but your friends still don't understand the basics or more advanced strategies. Just watch a 5 minute or less clip and you've done this basic and intermediate learning, making the first game more enjoyable. We're still working on titles and descriptions to make this clear. We will eventually have expert level strategies for you after we have established this initial goal firmly over a broad spectrum of games.
I'm doing fine in Jaws of the lion, but fail miserably in original Gloomhaven. I can't even pass the first level.
Jaws of the Lion was designed to be more accessible, and to scale challenges. Gloomhaven just throws you into the deep end. Isaac also got better at designing scenarios as time went on. That first scenario can be surprisingly difficult. I failed it the first time too. The game has a built in timer. Focus on conserving actions by avoiding unnecessary discards and using movement efficiently. Are you using the Jaws of the Lion characters? They are more flexible generally than Gloomhaven base classes.
Going to be starting Jaws of the Lion in a couple months, and I'm already preparing the original Gloomhaven to follow up!
Awesome. Jaws of the Lion is a great version of the game. I'd recommend bringing the Red Guard with you - that class is a blast to play. This will be our first class starter guide character releasing in a few weeks.
Hello. I read in the rule book and it said: Give 2 corp cards and 10 project cards to each player. They examine their cards, and when they have decided which cards and corporations they want, they start to reveal them in player order, which means i can examine my cards before choosing corporation cards. I saw your video that you pick coporation cards first then choose project cards. So which is the right way to play. Tks
Your way detailed above follows the instructions in the rulebook. If you're playing on the steam or tablet versions, you draft the corporation card before drafting your projects. I use the corporation card as a direction setter. About 95% of the time, only one of the corporations matches most how I want to play. In all but rare circumstances, the actual choice of corporation is irrelevant when compared against your hand. In a typical 14 generation game, you'll draft probably 40-60 cards including your starting hand of 4-6. Only 10% of your direction is set by that opening hand. Regardless of corporation choice, you're building an engine first - and that generally means sacrificing expensive cards that would have a synergistic effect with your corporation.
awesome video! thanks =)
I like it!
I like this format! I think this is a good evolution.
Thanks Kevin. Looking forward to improving further to make the best tips and tricks board game videos anywhere.
