I ordered a spool pin for my #385 Kenmore however there is nothing to screw it in. What am I missing?
Lines always get tangled, nobody goes over that, maybe just a me issue
❤ 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
What if you want to add it in the back 7:41 ❤1
Hand wheel don't rotate what happens mam
Can use for Ramen Noodles, too!
Hola no tienes un video explicando como cortar y calcular la tela para la funda?
Unfortunately, I do not have my own video. That’s because the pattern is someone else’s! You can purchase the pattern from Sewn Ideas here: www.sewnideas.com/product-page/book-sleeve-with-2-pockets-in-2-sizes
Magnetic bookmarks are a game changer. Love your projects and can't wait to try them. Thank you for posted.
How do you make piping?
Funny you should ask… How To Make Your Own Piping (Never Buy Ready Made Again!) ua-cam.com/video/AWMwUYBOtPw/v-deo.html
Thank you for sharing your wonderful overlocker scrap catcher. It's just what I need.❤
Genius!
Thanks so much for this great idea, my sewing room has never been tidier! One thing I have changed is to use some scrap vinyl to make the back and the inner basket. This means that all scraps and cottons just slide in really easily and can be emptied without anything sticking to the sides. It’s so lovely my whole sewing group now have made at least one, sometimes two so each machine/serger has its own! Thanks again!
Thank you for this explanations! Why is the interfacing of the first pencil holder longer than the main cotton?
Would you say this is beginner friendly?
Thank you
Thank you, great tutorial. Did I miss the post for the bigger size?
Thank u
Thank you
will this work for paper backs too?
What kind of interface are you using here? I have the EZ-Steam one sided fusible web - will this work?
I used Fusible Fleece in the video but I’d also recommend a fusible woven like SF 101. The purpose is to give it more structure. I haven’t tried it with this but I have with others. Using a second layer of woven fabric and sewing it in could help as well.
WOULD Hvd liked to sed what you did
this was super helpful !
Magnetic they fit any size book
Hi, do you have a cover pattern that could fit 2 books?
I do not, but that is interesting! I’ll have to add that to my “great ideas” list!
I've made these for my soup mugs but having the correct measurements was so helpful...thank you!
Thank you. I was scout to take my slacks to the cleaners. I will have to hand sew the elastic in but after I return from my trip, with your videos, I will be altering my own clothes. Yeh!!! Never too old to learn, and your videos are succinct.
sans music would be nicer~🫧
What the hell is this 😢 I searched types of bias and I got this 😅
Welcome to the world of sewing! 😜 One of many types of BIAS!
@@TheLiterarySewist ahaha it's about administrative law
@@GaneshGhuse Hmmm… how can I apply that to sewing techniques? Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning! Who would have guessed this would end up in a search for something very very different from its intended purpose! Best of luck with your research!
@@TheLiterarySewist welcome and Have a good day ❤️
Thank you!
You’ve welcome! 🤗
Wow! Thank you. I was very confused but after your explain I get it.
You’re so very welcome! Glad I could help!
I have that exact buckle, got it from Wawak online shop
Yeah I started this one but couldn’t get through it I’m sure the character arc was good and I bet it had a satisfying ending, but it was to cringy for me and I didn’t like it which is strange cuz I love all Marissa meters other stuff to! Glad you liked it though
That’s ok! It’s pretty different writing style from her other books so I get the cringy. It’s very young and very first love which isn’t for everyone. But that’s why there are so many options for reading! 🥰
Hello, I like the video and all your cursing...lol.. If u want to make it easy to turn your project inside out, use a hair dryer to soften the fabric...It turns really easy.
Excellent tip! Thanks! Although I’ve decided I should avoid handbags altogether! 🤣 They always make me so angry!
Hello, i'm New here and would love to download the pattern...thanks 😊
Check the video description for the link!
What width elastic did you use? 1”?
Yep! It’s 1”!
Hi thankyou what stitch should I use with appliqué ing on to power mesh ? Zig zag over raw edges or lightening bolt just inside edge? Thanks for video
I’d probably test the lightning stitch first. Maybe even use some dissolvable stabilizer between the appliqué & the power method possible.
When I signed up for the newsletter, this pattern wasn't sent, it was a frog coin pouch, I'd like to make the book cover
Sorry about that! Can you send me an email at TheLiterarySewist@gmail.com and I’ll make sure to get the right one to you.
Love the 'speedy' sewing. Makes quick work of a very informative but simple project with just the highlights. Thank you! Thank you for the pattern. Great size, too.
Great, loved sewing this for my granddaughter.
Great video! Thank you for explaining about the cutting mat, or ruller.
This pattern came together so well. I'm new to sewing and didn't have any issues. Thank you!
The magnet in the tutorial doesn’t look like the one linked.
Thank you for the info. I really would like to know more. I liked the pleats in the back of the coat set on an angle. Love them.
I NEED to make 1 like this because anytime I'm sewing the carpet in the room gets SOOO MESSY😅
This is very helpful. It is eXactly what I was looking for. Thank you for posting! 😊🎉💖
Yay! I’m so glad to be able to help!
Fits what size notebook?
I modeled them on a 9” tall book that was about 2” thick. But I’ve also used them on standard US notebooks that are 8.5”x11”x.5”. As long as your elastic has a lot of give they can be very versatile.
Love this!!
Love this!
Would this work for paperbacks?
I had someone else ask me about this so I gave it a try. It does work! However I would suggest not using the fusible fleece and just use a woven interfacing like SF101. Maybe even double layer that for more structure. I didn’t use it long term though so I’m not sure how well the corners will be protected.
I just found you! Thank you for sharing. Great idea!
