Outlet for sharing my shooting sports passion, primarily the PRS/NRL disciplines at the moment but I still try to shoot a F-class or High-power match a year. I am also heavily invested in firearms safety as a DNR hunter safety volunteer instructor, NRA range safety officer with additional certifications in range operations/development and a bunch of stuff before I retired from the Corps as a Gunny in 2004.

Iron Sight Challenge with a 153 year old Stevens?
I emailed you. I’m old, and my eyes are 68. I need a copy of this target that is black and not orange. Can you help a Jarhead Brother out?
Try printing it in greyscale or black and white and see if that helps picking up the center. I know when I have tried in in orange on a sunny day I was just holding center paper but if it was overcast the orange stood out better. I might try to rework the target over the weekend in B&W if I can keep the dimensions the same.
@@MnMarine1 Tried that. Came out grey scale. I messed with it and now have a black target on this same sheet. Thanks for your help though.
What a nice looking rifle. It looks like a 1885 and a Rolling Block had a baby.
Cool video thanks for posting. How are you getting the video overlay of the SG data and you shooting? Is that a function of the APP?
It is, with the APP it will over lay the shot timer data and the pulse data on my phones recording.
Nice shooting Mike. The Eley Team was certainly showing its good side but then the Team Flyers show up. I have the same experience with it. I weighted a few hundred out into groups, then thickness and that certainly helped, but a lot of time doing it 😕. So what’s with the electrical tape in front of the action? 🤔
😂😅 Mike!! Tampon Tim moment lol 😆 Nice shooting Mike!! 👏 Looks like you had some decent weather for a change 😊
Wow Mike! With CCI and Buckhorn sights!❤❤❤
Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Nice work with the old school.
Knowing how to load a firearm "Priceless" 😮❤❤❤
I have a few more in the queue too!
Long Rifle. Good video and great open sight shooting. Thanks for sharing.
I love the Savage Mark ii. I machine an extended magazine release made specifically for the Mark ii. They are available on eBay if you are interested.
Long Rifle. Good video and great shooting. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Nicely done
Nice shooting! It needs a piece of tape perhaps lol
Great way to get more views…score later…lol
I like that barrel tuner! What is it duct tape or gorilla tape? Lol
It's DUCK brand, it's a good story, front action screw actually but I was hoping no one would notice it🤣
I have actually seen people wrap a couple strips on the barrel and claim it helped with accuracy 😮
Very nice! This is going to be fun! Did HR Funk try this challenge with centerfire. I saw the thumbnail but had to wait till later!
That's amazing we got the same score lol.
Great shootin' Mike!! 👏 I will probably give this one a go also. I need to do your run your bolt one also ... falling behind here 😢
Getting ready to post up your candy corn shortly
@@MnMarine1 Awesome man! Thanks for giving it a go, I really appreciate that! Can't wait to see it 😁 I am walking the Veteran Challenge up the hill right now 😲
Nice. That one miss sucks but the rest was in there
fun
Scores updated. When my video posts It shows more contest info and a PCC change...it's out and replaced with 5.56. You still get an entry for 9mm! I think it was just too hard...I got 3pts btw 🤣
Cant wait to get tge target and try it
LR. Good score. Hard target. Well done. Take care.
Mike can you send me hazzbro target. Thanks. Dg
Way to go at it Mike This is a mind game for sure. Boing ,Boing,Boing definitely brings back some memories👍🏻
You hit the peak of his hat which is fine according to the rules I saw. Bottom middle target. Very tough target, I know you can do better!
These are hard! 22 ain’t bad. But the larger calibers shew weee
I love it! Great job long rifle!
I scored mine wrong! I am still not positive about the scoring. I thought if you hit Mario, you lose all the points for that target and get a -1?? I come up with a 23 on yours? And checked my scoring and I did not add it wrong lol. Had to go back and watch Hazz's video again lol Good first run Mike 👍
I wondered about that.
@@FukuYTmark6 Yeah, in the scoring video he says you lose the points for the target and get a minus 1. So I am not sure what is going on! But if you get the points for the target then -1 from that I scored mine wrong! I got a 50 if that's the case and NoPro got a 50 or 51.
It’s a challenging one!
I can see how that's a tough target! Email ⚠️
I have my C.M.P. Garand and some vintage ammo. I have down loaded the target. How would you like me to send my finished target?
You can email the target to me at mnshootingsports@gmail.com
Wow! That's not bad at all! Guess I now know what I'll be using for this challenge!
Nice. I can get out my ol Model 1903. Not sure how well I will be able to see the target.
Looks like fun. I should pull my pre ban Colt A2 out. I wouldn't be using 55gr FMJ though!!!! You ever see an A2 put them all in the 10 ring. 10 shots into less than 1 1/2"?
LR. Nice 100Y shooting. Take care.
Trying to get my son to come shoot this one. He has a bunch of old military rifles.
patented shoulder thingy😆
Hmm🤔 I have an Enfield but it's heavily sporterized. Original barrel but that's about it. No Iron sights. It has an old Weaver 4 power scope. I also have an Long Branch Enfield all original. But it's just got flip peep sights at 300 and 500 if I remember correctly. That would take a lot of Kentucky windage lol. I have a M1 carbine but it's a copy of the original. I have a few SKS and AK. That doesn't seem right for Veterans day. Besides I probably couldn't hit a truck at 100yds with them lol. That's about all the military style guns I have.
Remakes of stuff like M1 Carbines and M14's are fine Boom!
I don't have much centerfire to choose from. Mini14, SKS, and AR15. Your choice!😅
100 yards with iron sights is challenging 👍
That's a sweet m1917!! You don't want me shooting my Carl Gustav m96 in your match though.
LR. Good video and targets. Nice shooting. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Great video. I love the old rifles. I have a Stevens 66-B Buckhorn tube feed. It's in pretty good condition and is a good shooter.
It looks like a Cooey knock-off.
More likely Cooey copied a Stevens design but I know what you are saying a lot of them look very similar from that time period.
I have the 53 buckhorn its one of the best shooting rifles i own.
Well I may do worse lol I don't think I have any magnification on mine but not changing it just shooting as is
I have the 53B Buckhorn rifle. Looks like yours Mine has a peep rear sight and an apeture round front sight. Excellent shooter. An older man gave it to me in 1962. Excellent shooter.
Very good!! Do I email you for a target? I'd like to try this with my (new to me) Stevens Little Scout falling block with a (10lb) trigger. I don't know what poundage it is, but it is heavy. I was shooting an 8 inch plate with it at 50 yards so I'd like to see if I could at least get 50% on target at 50 yards. Thanks for the video.
emailed you the target, I think I will add the target to the website as well.
