Well, I did this "Knife only" category under NG+ rules as well 🤷‍♂️ Also I dont think is actually bad or something, I really liked it. However, mods should make it "non-difficulty" dependent (or basically not sub categorize it by difficulties), cuz playing like this in high difficulties its pointless, boring and cant be consider as an actual speedrun.

Hey there, thank you so much for watching! And yes, the Cat ears are 100% required for NG+ runs (same for Striker charm that allows you run 8% faster). At the same time, you will need the Deer antlers for Krauser and its own knife fully upgraded. About crouching, I cant really tell exactly how much you save from them but its actually faster, you can test it by yourself at the very beginning of the game, just be sure of being in combat state (you will notice it by Leon's movement animation).

@@Mason-Windu As far as I know yeah, you are gonna have to get it through that way. I dont know if theres any trainer but I can recommend you using this mod to make things easier: www.nexusmods.com/residentevil42023/mods/229?tab=files This will make the merchant sells you Gold tokens for free.

I appreciate the challenge but I didnt enjoy it too much the highest difficulty on Separate Ways, so I cant promise going back to Pro 😔

Basically its to avoid the "dufflebag speed". When u see the "passive running animation" but you get "in combat state", you cant do those crouches to move faster cuz its even slower. So by resetting that checkpoint, you guarantee to get the actual "combat running animation" and thats where doing the "crouch n run" tech is useful.

Hopefully moderators would add it as a category extension, would be nice. But currently there's no official leaderboard for rocketless runs :(

@@TomyFoxy2014 RE2R and RE3R should also have ng+ no rockets, it is not fun seeing bosses being killed immediately with a single rocket.

While ur crouched, make sure Ada's positioning is correct (like in that frame 2:22) and then, turn the camera but not the character while holding the interaction key (F key by default). As soon as Ada disables the dynamite, u must go forward. You can also improve this by aiming with ur weapon and quickly make a Quick Slash with ur knife, in that order. So this allows you to land even faster.

Yeah I know, I'm very aware about giants skip being possible in NM but its insanely hard to do it and for the next PB is not a big requirement. And yeah, elevator was completely trash. I will try to do it better on following attempts :D
