Thanks for the video.. never seen such a comprehensive and complete review.. the Hotel you mentioned was very nice though the budget was little on higher side. But what I have heard is good hotels cost a bit more compared to other tourist places despite there being high competition. Moreover Chikmagalur is a costly city. For a single meal it cost 150 wherein in other places it might cost 100. The owner and staff were also very cooperative, decent and helpful. The hotel is in the middle of all tourist places in Chikmagalur. So it os easy to travel. There is plenty parking space. Would recommend to book rooms in first or second floor to enjoy the beautiful scene entire day especially mornings.

Before entering the Charmadi Ghat road, you will come across a town known as 'Kottigehara'; there, you must try the very local food 'neer dose (dosa)'; every hotel in that town serves it; do try it if you visit again; typically, neer dose is originated in Udupi, but Kottigehara is famous for it; everyone from Karnataka who travels through Charmadi Ghat will stop for a quick bite of neer dose.
