Welcome to my channel, I’ve been in the fish hobby for over 20 years. For many years I raised and breed African cichlids especially from lake Tanganyika but in the last few years I’ve started collecting and breeding rare plecos . So feel free to follow me in my journey learning more about these fascinating animals. Also make sure to subscribe to my channel and follow me on Instagram!!

Dang that is gonna be pretty
Thank you kindly
Thank you so much sir, for this hands-on info. Unfortunately the images shown the vid at 5:27-5:39 are cut off, can you maybe put these images on your channel in full size? As they are definately helpfull
I added them at the end of the video 👍.
Thanks for your time
Dope pleco collection, i have group of leopard frogs, red tiger L397 and flash pleco
Awesome- have you breed those leopard Frogs yet? Those can be challenging. . 👍
@@flexintonsaquatics no I've had them for around 3 years now, their shy, the only fish I have breeding right now are my gold laser Cory's
I am wiling to take them shrimp off your hands lmk
Reach out to me through my email 👍
What temp. To you keep your breeders at (Zebras) I see you have guppies in with them.
I keep them at 80 - 82 degrees and yes I use to keep guppies with them. I might do that again. 😁
Great video! I recommend a basic goldfish as a shrimp problem ender. If you're keeping discus that happy, you should breed them. The main thing is getting fish that weren't loaded with steroids when they were little, it makes them sterile.
Thank you! I'll consider the goldfish advice. I currently taking out all the best ones I can find. 👍👍😁
Nice fish and fishroom my guy💪🏾. I just subscribed 💯
Awesome- thank you 👍
Black Dragons look amazing perfect condition
Thanks you - The goal is to get them in to a new 200 gallon aquarium buy summer. 👍
Enjoyed the tour, great job. I’ve always loved the Balzinii, gotta get me some in the future. I just lost 2 of my 7 Blackberry grow outs and I’m thinking to replace them with 2 more. Yours looks great for their size.
Thanks bro. The blackberries are eating well and I can’t wait for them to get larger. Two of the Balzinni looks like the paired up already. 😁
Beautiful fish 🐠🐟 🐠
Thanks! 😁
I cant wait to have a fish similar to this but with just 6 tanks on each side of the room
Go for it 👍
Looking great keep up the good work...u have great voice
Love the video - The discus are my favorite.
You should set up a shrimp tank they can be a nice steady income 👍
Good Idea 👍 I use to have two tank set up for them . I will set a new one up this week . 😁😁
One thing I found really helped when I bred shrimp to sell was add half a dozen from an unrelated blood line about every 6 months it really helps stabilise the colours and prevents them reverting to brown wild types , good luck with the project hope it works out 🤞
@@BadlydrawnBen Awesome- Thanks for the great advice.👍👍
You're welcome I hope you and the family have a wonderful Christmas, all the best from the English lake district
Most under subscribed fish keeping channel on UA-cam
Beautiful
Thank you kindly 😁
What size tank. .
40 gallon tank but I don’t have them anymore. 👍
I have 6 of them
Do you find they breed seasonally? Iv neen watching keeping fish simple an Australian breeder and his seem to only breed seasonally
It actually depends on the females. I had two females that breed all year long but that might be the case for some of them. 👌
Thanks for posting. Question, do you feel that zebra Plecos are colony breeders, or do you have more success with trios? Thanks!
Im actually testing that now. In the past I’ve always breed them in groups but only my dominant females would breed. So I’m testing to see if this works better..👍
@flexintonsaquatics awesome! I'll stay tuned! Ty!
another thing to add to the information you have given, iv noticed with my zebra's pay attention at feeding times the males seem to be alot more aggressive when feeding in adults and in young, great video as always looking forward to the next one
You’re absolutely right, I will definitely bring that out in my next breeding and feeding video. Thank you 👌👍
Great video very informative 😊
Why did you want to move off of the L82s?
They are great fish but I didn’t have the tank space for them anymore.
Your water quality is excellent
Thank you 👍
Good job keeping the tank decor light to keep the black on the plecos from taking over. They look amazing
Thank you kindly 👍
How old are they?
I actually breed these and sold them to a fellow hobbyist in march of 2023. So they are around 2.5 years old.
The zebra king returns 🙏
Thanks you kindly.- most of my videos for a while will be about keeping and maintaining zebra plecos. 👍👍
@flexintonsaquatics awesome that will help a lot of others trying to breed them 👍
Hi i really like your videos but i have to ask, why dont you record in horizontal ?
My daughter just told me that too 😂. I will for now on. 👍
I thought you were selling all of them?
I’m still undecided on the adults but the young ones are for sale.
Congrats! Can I use your footage for my UA-cam shorts, with the credits ofcourse!
Yes of course!
👍
Beautiful. Congratulations on the 3 sets of fry . Cant wait for the tour your tanks are always topnotch. Thanks for sharing
Thank you kindly and thanks for the sub as well !!👍
You mean Rod? Lol beauty fish
Im in ontario canada..Wish i could buy your 136c oh boy are they awesome...
Thank you - they grew and bred quicker than all the other plecos I own. 😁
@flexintonsaquatics Ya it's crazy! And you got lots of nice fry.. There is no 136c here anywhere.. I'm 3 years looking and imports from overseas are way crazy pricey here..I won't say how much but huge each.. I'd buy everything you have for the money your asking eazy, let's put it that way.. Honestly I don't know how or why we have none up here..Lots of plecos here. But man for the life of me, try and find a 136c. You are truly blessed.. As always Thank-you for your videos we have so much to learn about plecos..
@@Hydrahandle7 wow, that is tough but they are very pricey here too. I payed triple the price of what I’m selling mine for 😁. There are quite a few people breeding them here now so it shouldn’t be long before they spread there. I’m still jealous of you guys over their you get to have Asian Arowana’s. 😁😂👍
@@flexintonsaquaticswe have a lots here not plecos tho
Im in toronto too what pleco do u have?
Amazing collection! Nice to see another pleco lover sharing what he owns look forward to the next video, keep up the good work from the UK
Thank you kindly 😁👍
Do you ship? What state are you in?
Yes is ship and I live in Grand Rapids, Mi 👌
Some females can have odontodes on their pectorals and body. Males are usually more pronounced. I haven’t kept this species so I don’t even know why I’m opening my mouth. Good luck Flexington! 😊😊
Thank you for your input. I have a large female in the tank already but I can’t tell if this one is a male or not. He hanges along the side of the cave like the other female but never does inside.
Can you post them in the dip n pour together? Look at their heads also. Some males have wild odontodes vs other species etc. check the cheek odontodes also. The males usually have those longer cheek odontodes.
@@aquarialife8418 will do 👍
It’s a little bit small but it looks female
Short body looks like a female but the dorsal fin erect will tell you everything. Females look like short rectangles males dorsals are longer taller and have more flow
What type of leaves do you use ? Almond ?
Indiana Almond leaves
Subscribed absolutely amazing fish and love the fish room
Thank you kindly 👍
They are some beautiful little fish. I love the coloration on their dorsal fins with the subtle colors on their bodies. How many did you get?
I originally bought 3 thinking it was a trio but I realized it was 3 females. I picked up two more a young male and female to complete the group. 😁
Witaj kolego super piękne rybki kiedyś takie miałem pozdrawiam z Polski miłego dnia życzę
Dziękuję bardzo i proszę o polubienie i subskrypcję.
Very cool
Thank you kindly 😄
@flexintons Hi Brother, I am from band application. When do you will to order the logo ?
@flexintons check your email, ,please
Got it 👍
How can you tell the difference btw male/female L025?
It’s quite difficult until they mature. The male will have a broader head with a slender body and the female will have a pointer head with a wider body type.
Great looking fish!
Thank you and thanks for the great quality food you supply to me. 👍👍
Nice video you have an awesome collection. I’m partial to cactus plecos when it comes to it. Just rarely available when I have a little money to spend. Especially if you go cheap and buy them small they take forever to grow.
Agreed- It most likely will take years for these to be mature enough to breed. Then the challenge of getting to breed. It takes a lot of time and patience for sure.
Omg! That’s one of my dream fish🤩 great pickup 👍🏽💯
Thanks Bro. 👍👍
You should try breeding some odessa barbs really cool species
Awesome- I will make that my next breeding project. 👍👍😁
That sounds awesome. I love breeding fish and watching the behavior. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Mark, I ‘m the same way.👍
I've got multis myself. Love them
Awesome- I love watching there behavior.
