Made a farce out it but wobbled my way up for the send. What I learned: Clear the ropes from your legs so you don't pull gear out, especially on the crux! Also... Don't panic!

After an on and off relationship with learning this tune I'm almost there. Relearned over the last two years cause I'm lazy.

Dude this is sick! Learned a ton just from watching your video. 'Preciate it
I recognise the name but the pink bike is Sammy Tasker
Were you racing with a guy called Laurie Sheppard here? Think he’s 2 in front of you on the pink bike?
Everytime i watch this i feel like a fud for hitting the deck 🤣 amazing gear on this route & i put in 2 shite bits 😂
can get alot of mixed messages from hand signals they really need 2 way coms in all helmets
Really nice! How many minutes since you started back fly? You look very stable. Also love the emergency recovery transitions haha, think you impressed instructors too. I am just starting backfly at the same tunnel. I am so glad they've reopened already.
maybe try a baggier suit, that looks fairly tight for early progression, in freefall speeds you will be fine with that suit but they tone I down in the tunnel at first, keep it up im at a very similar level as you!
Hi is this a bolted route or trad?
Bolted
Very impressive mate!
Nice ride and enjoyed the music.
Woah that must be very scary
Omg Graeme u just like my old teacher graeme Kerr he loves the guitar to oh and I just subscribed
Nice.......
You carry a lot of speed to the corner. Nice video! Have you heard of trackdays4fun.com ? A nice place for race fans to share!
Might be your first season but pretty gutsy stuff on the off camber corners
There's some tricky sections at Donny, for sure. Going at my own pace though. Got nothing to prove at this stage.
The B769 was back in the news today. "A "boy racer" has been jailed for four years and six months for killing two people in a crash in East Ayrshire. "Gary Nicholson, 20, admitted causing the death of his 18-year-old passenger Alec Stewart and another car passenger, Patricia Brown, 52, by dangerous driving on the B769, near Stewarton." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-35315923 I have to say, though, I'm not impressed by the way you ride your m'bike. Flying up fast behind people, before pulling out from behind them, just before corners as well. Don't go killing any innocent people!
Some sections have a really bad surface. Tho last time I was there it was being resurfaced. Good vid.
Good effort bud, gota watch for cowshit and damp patches in the tree lined sections down there though eh?
cool piece of road, bit moist looking tho ;)
great vid mate. ive just done first vlog on this road. brilliant.
holy shit dude nice video!! road looks amazing! just deleted a load of my videos.. to scared of Mr bacon finding them. keep the videos coming and stay safe! peace :D
Where did you put your zoom h1?
nice vid
Good ride on cool roads! My girl friend's son just bought one of these for his first bike and from the many reviews and videos I've watched I think he's gonna love it.I had to sell my beloved GSX-R600 when we left the country recently. I'm thrilled that he is starting his life on bikes with such a little beauty.
It's a great first bike, I can confirm that. It may not have a lot of torque but it's planted in corners and with decent tyres it inspires confident riding, which is essential for a first bike. I just bought a GSX-R600K8 back in October of last year. I've uploaded a few videos recently of me riding it. Such a great bike and perfect for someone of my size.
Thanks for the comments, mine was a K3. I put 50,000 miles on it as its second owner and loved every mile of it. I never bored of leaving 750s and litre bikes in my wake round my favourite twisties including the TT mountain course. I'll get another bike soon, they're into bikes in a big way here in Bulgaria and petrol is 82 p a litre just now. Happy days.. Good riding to you, I'll check out your other uploads too :-)
oh mate that was fantastic to watch! Very nice and solid riding and what a great sound! I think commentaries are a good thing although your English is not exactly easy to understand for me ;)
Thanks. I'm at the point now where I'm comfortable staying off the brakes between corners. I try to ride in a way that uses as little brake as possible and let the engine do the work. Maybe by mid-season next year I'll be giving it more throttle between corners but for now, I'm happy with my progress. I like to take my time! Unfortunately my accent is a little too thick for people at times. I might add captions if it gets too bad. xD.
Another good vod on another good day! How do u always time the weather?
Cheers. I'm always on the BBC website checking the weather. Plus I'm lucky. ;)
Very impressed with you riding! We see a lot of 125 Hooligans on the web nowadays sadly :( Keep up the good channel too man!
aah that rollercoaster road :)) Brilliant, what a joy to watch. Still love these amazing up and down parts, we don't have these kind of roads here in Austria!! Although you've got to tell me why would you put a soundtrack over the bike's glorious sound? :(
This road is a lot of fun and quite a challenge. I'd say it's excellent to learn on, due to the plethora of corner types. There's a few jumps and some off camber sections that really teach you about bike and throttle control. The music is there for entertainments sake. I'll upload a raw version and add an annotation and link in the description. Thanks for watching. ;)
The NC sounds so good, what exhaust do you have? I'll hopefully get to ride the Hard Knott Pass next year, looks like a great view!
It's a great road but very technical in places. You need to be confident and stay on the throttle on the steeper sections. Rolling back or stalling will require a change of underwear upon completion. Make sure you go over the Kirkstone Pass to get to Hard Knott. That's another fantastic road. Lots of flowing chicanes and varying gradients. I followed the KIrkstone Pass until the Kirkstone Pass Inn, then took a right down Kirkstone road to Ambleside. The exhaust is an Akrapovic titanium slip on. I'm enjoying your videos. ;)
Murcuseo the dealer I got the bike from offered me a cheap used Akrapovic off the test bike - so tempted to get it! Thanks for the info - I'll be sure to check out Kitckstone pass on my trip! Glad you are enjoying them - right back at you! :)
MUSIC ?
what tune was going through your mind at 6:45 ? ;)) Great ride, fantastic road. Looks just like the perfect stretch of tarmac for "advanced cruise mode" :)
The tips of my fingers were getting cold so I was circulating the blood a little. I'd like to have a funny answer for you but that was it. lol I actually got the recommendation for this road from a fellow Scotsman on my last video and couldn't quite believe how fun it was. Part 2 will be uploaded soon. Thanks for watching!
New video of some onboard footage on a Honda NC700X. Enjoy!
yep, awesome indeed! Loved that last section, slow and technical are my keywords ;))) Wonderful view as well. You're right about straight line speeding, it's not that exciting. I mainly do it for the sound only. I'm usually in actual cruise mode as soon as I'm not recording my rides. Still looking forward to see the speed run though and the cbr400 of course. :)
A friend of mine will be on the 400. It's such a great little bike and I would consider getting one myself, but I'm 6'3 and look like a clown when riding it. He's taken all the packing of the exhaust so it sounds amazing. It also has plenty of power to keep up with my NC700X. Hopefully the sound recording will pick up on how great that little bike really is!
my friend that was a JOY to watch & listen to!!! Fantastic scenery, great riding and pace, wonderful sound!! Thanks a lot for the credits & link to my channel :) Worn back tyres turn every wet patch into a bit of an adventure ;))) Regarding the audio level drops: these are almost inevitable when you're using auto-gain mode. You'll have to adjust your levels afterwards with your editing software. That's what I usually do and it works well enough for UA-cam ;)
Thanks and apologies for spelling your username wrong. I only noticed after I'd uploaded it. :( I'm a little slower and less confident than yourself but I've only had my full license since June of last year, so my confidence is growing. I was riding this road with a friend on Sunday and I felt like I was going much faster and smoother. I think in the future I'll keep the auto level off and increase the level post production. I have an idea for a better placement of the recorder as well. I have plenty of foam to finger and mess around with anyway. ;) I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Murcuseo don't worry about the spelling, I'm not good with names either ehehehe ;) Your riding looks really good to me, especially since you just got the full license in June!! It took me almost 6 years to get where I am at now. This year I had the chance to experiment (never more than 1 experiment so far unfortunately) with a constant audio-level-input and for my backpack and for the CB, an input level of 20 works quite well!
Can't decide the YZR-R125 or the WR125X
Depends on the application. What do you plan on using the bike for? If it's for dry weather and fun weekend rides I'd recommend the YZF but if you plan to put more miles on through commuting and moderate touring I'd recommend the WR. The YZF is a sports bike and has it's limits as far as ergonomics and comfort. It is without doubt the best looking and most sport style 125 out there and handles really well if ridden hard. The WR is more practical and comfortable. It also handles well but shoud be ridden in a different style.
Murcuseo well its going to be ridden for everything, being used on dual carriageways, going to college, work and home, used to fun rides. And I need something that's easier to filter traffic.
hu99u Personally I would choose the WR as it has more practical real world use than the YZF. A more upright position like on the WR is far better for the majority of things you just listed. Especially filtering as it gives you a clearer view through traffic and a more dominant riding position. The WR also has a tighter turning circle, where as the turning circle on the YZF is extremely limited at slower speeds due to the fairing and can be tricky to manage unless you have good clutch control and body postion. Remember, this is only my opinion and the ultimate choice would be yours. But if I were in your situation I would choose the WR. Best of luck and enjoy riding which ever you decide. Stay safe.
Murcuseo Ok thanks for the replay, that's made my decision easier. stay safe as well.
WR125X is gonna be more comfortable.
Did you read the description?
i think you change gears too early :)
Nope. On PC with an xbox controller. ;)
You're playing it on Xbox??
Cheers. I got a craving for a few matches. I may play more depending on my mood. lol
I go through phases. It'll probably be uninstalled by next week.... or tomorrow.
You get what you deserve.
It's nice to see you again.

What, I lived in Paisley years ago. well done for passing :)
Nah, this is Paisley and surrounding area. Thanks. Got my full license now. Just being super lazy with the footage. ;)
