A cool fact, my dad was a ⚾ baseball player and dreamed of playing in the major leagues. In 1955 he lived his dream, he pitched for the Detroit Tigers. He told me later in life his goal when he got up to bat was to hit the ball “right out of the park”. Well, he did!! In one game in 1955 playing for the Detroit Tigers, he hit a grand slam and a three-run homer. He put himself on the map. After that, he was nick named “Babe”, after the legend home run hitter, Babe Ruth. My dad’s name is “Babe Birrer”. And, my dad always said, Sherry… all it takes is “A Dream and A Swing”

She forgot to mention the grey skies from November to some point in the middle of winter when it is too f-ing cold to have clouds. However, my sisters and I rendezvous usually in September. The weather is nice then. In summer there is one festival after another. Great place really.

I am a Rochester, NY native. I grew up in Rochester and lived in Rochester until 7 or 8 years ago. Rochester has a lot going for it, but yes, the winters can be hard and long. Yes, the summers can be hot, but 20 miles away there are the Finger Lakes. Canandaigua, Geneva, the wine countries, plus a lot of history. I visit Rochester twice a year and what can be better than a Garbage Plate? Not sure if Nicks is still open, but the garbage with hot sauce and onions can't be beat.

She's right, Roch stinks. We moved farther out to Victor (way better), and then Texas. We miss Wegmans and Canandaigua Lake. That's about it. Life is too short to suffer in Rochester.

I know this is the point of the video but I'm not going to lie. Sounds more like five reasons to move to Rochester. Especially the small city commuting. In 2017 and 2018 I was inspecting restaurant service repairs in Houston and averaged 120,000 miles driven per year without leaving the city. Now my work is 3.9 miles from my home which is just a bike ride through three neighborhoods in one of the ninety-one suburbs of Houston. But that is across town in Rochester. Sounds nice.

I didn't see the number one reason to hate Rochester NY. I'm sure most people really do reason hate Rochester. You must have been confused how about the corruption in the government at City Hall and how their self entitled. REFUSES the First Amendment audits or just a regular citizen wanting to TAKE Pictures In side. Or how they like to go Hands-On with people that they Express their first amendment rights. Even though they're ignorant of the Law. It's such a wonderful place to live that the attorneys at the city hall don't even know the law. Wouldn't live in your town if you paid ME. It looks like a piece of shit HELLHOLE. The people that think they're better than the average citizens I would recommend everybody can I watch videos about this corrupt Town.

Wanna bet this lady is a real estate agent/broker? She forgot to mention our wonderful downtown area! The one that looks like a ghost town. Sorry. I do not have any great love for Rochester, although it is better than it was back in the 70's. If you want some history on Rochester, read the book titled "Rochester, NY Smugtown USA" by Curt Gerling

I'm looking to move back to New York from Florida. I've been over Florida for many years now. I've been here since 2008/09. My husband doesn't want to leave though, but I am looking to live a little closer than I am now to my family in NYC. I would move to NYC, but I don't want it to be a culture shock to anyone, especially my children who are 2 and 11. I would like to find a residential/ family oriented community. My children don't even know their cousins like that in NYC. We have no other family here in Florida but us and I feel like they are missing out on that family time. Don't get me wrong, I love my home in Florida. I love the neighborhood that I live in. I'm suppose to retire in 10 years, but I am so ready to go. Do you think I would be making the right choice moving back to New York?

No more Bausch & Lomb, No more Xerox, No Polaroid, no more Gannett News service, no more Taylor Instruments, no more Ritters Dental, did i forget someone?? Everything within 100's of miles is Rochester is in rochester according to her!! Is she a Mormon, is she a Jehovahs witness?? Or maybe she is a 7th day adventist?? Now they all came from Rochester!! So help her god!! Is she black? Is she hisvanic?? Is she latino?? Is she white?? Well why doesnt she tell what % of rochester is made up with these people?? Dont make me take you to church girl!! Be honest, tell the truth, dont sugar coat it, and cover it with 6' of snow!! I didnt know hammondsport was part of rochester, when did that happen!! After 25 years living in NC there are still many things that I miss about Rochester where I grew up. I miss Highland Park and the lilacs, and there are amazing educational opportunities. There are mental health sources not found in many places. The proximity of the Finger Lakes is another plus, but I admit that I find the climate too severe for my old bones.
