This is amazing! Thank you to all that have helped get this all done and cleaned up!
That’s my president! Trail looks amazing so far, can’t wait to see the finished product
What and where are you building?
The development is in Merritt BC in the collettville area.
@@srizzardo Is the collettville area the lower Nicola and is this a housing development?
@franklogan494 This is a Light Industrial Development. There is a large Residential Development component to the west of this site and work on that site will commence shortly. These sites are located in the Southwest sector of the City of Merritt, BC.
@@chrislanghaug2855 Thank you!
Great edit Simon thanx man.
Thanks for the update.
the government is doing the same thing in farming removing water rights, the fishing industry is being attacked as well, forestry is also being targeted our government is destroying us. How long before we are all in financial ruin, What about the housing shortages in the building trades thousands have lost there jobs how are our homes going to get built that we desperately need .Mines being attacked they want us to own nothing and be happy WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TO LATE
Did you honestly think that you could continue cutting forever ??? Where was the reforestation??? Where was the fire management??? Capitalism over sustainability never ends well 😢
Merritt has been deemed racist, and unworthy of existence. You will succumb to valueless workers that are deemed move valuable due to race or gender. Its all bullshit. Woke = Broke. Find a black guy who can drop trees, find a trans man that can do a true loggers day work. Again its all bullshit. The trees need to be harvested.
This stuff happened in the past under the NDP. In 2001, even the union monopolies (schools and healthcare) turned against them. They were left with 2 seats! This is what happens when you hire non-economist Marxists to run your government.
This sounds like deliberate actions to shut down natural resource production and herd people into cities per agenda 2030. And with the WEF pumping out non stop fear of climate change, expect to see this in every small town.
Old growth forests take hundreds of years to recover , too many going after too little thats left after the devastation caused by the greed and ignorance of the past and today
Rest in peace Aunty Gwen. Hopefully Merritt does not go with you.
Politicians arent' losing One penny...
Unfortunately this is what happens , when we as a province , elect a government that is only concerned with how the lower mainland and the island vote. All small interior , forest dependant towns are in trouble. There is one comment at 23:53 when Brian McKinnon asks where is the revenue and tax money going to come from , that is a very salient comment. In order for us as British Columbians to have a strong and prosporous province we need forestry , mining , ranching and small towns to be an integral part of our economy. We also need our politicians to wake up to the plight of our forest communities and realize that there is more to this province than what goes on in the southwest corner.
hapened in Sechelt years ago, tourism and retirees helped but things were better before, im gone from there now tired of death threats from the tree huggers, on the answering machine.
The federal and provincial government econuts love the situation. WHY ? Think Past The Surface
Keep voting Liberal/NDP to run our country because they are to blame for all major set backs which put strain on everyone. People dont realize how important the forestry industry really is, yes its a major industry and if that gets affected so do the rest of the industries.
Forestry needs MORE workers, not less … but, more of the people need to be planting? 😊 I’d love to see these guys, driving these machines and trucks, planting trees that are are like, 5-10 meters tall already. 😅 Grow the trees in a factory, ship them by truck, install with heavy machinery. 🤔 Install BIG forest quickly? Exactly what the hippies want, kinda? So, we all win? 😇👍
THAT would be a skill Canada can export too! 😊 Moving and planting HEAVY trees would be one of those “Fight Climate Change” type of industries, that *might* BOOM. noting that, “Wildfire Fighters” booming as well. … so, “Replanting” SHOULD be huge. 😅 If humanity is smart, but we kinda aren’t. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
BC government doesn’t seem to know how to do forestry, or farming. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ rediculous. Oh, I’m gonna have to hit up my local Green Party people, tell them to 💩 on the NDP, get some things sorted out. 🤷♀️ What use is Green Party if they aren’t going to comment on farming and forestry. 😂 I know they have opinions! 💜👍 Oh, huge potential. You know what’s better than collecting EI, becuase the Gov’t doesn’t want to cut trees? Gov’t sponsored jobs planting trees. 🤣😘
35 yrs of employment great pay I've never made that kind of money & you didn't save any money ?? But all sorts of toys & in debt $$ you cut all down the trees what can you do ? You have to move just like anyone else. No hand outs why ?
Poor forestry practices. Raw log exports. No help from the corporations or the government transitioning away from a dying industry.
while house market is so hot, so many new home are built in LM, why it doesn't contribute to the forestry industry locally? because Canada is manipulated by US, while its government always cover this.
BC gov is destroying forestry, and cutting off water access to Farmers.... it seems like said provincial gov wants us all poor and living on welfare, is this an agenda for us to live life the WEF way? You will own nothing and be happy, eating ze Bugs and living in pods in 15min cities????? Truly disgusting and EVIL!!!!!!
I went tree planting north of Prince George in the late 1980's...so I'm just wondering how much more wood is there to get in that area? Unfortunately our governments want welfare not work. This is part of the reason they have been buttering up the natives and bending over backwards for their "rights", while at the same time despising them, because they help destroy work in resource industries.
Great video. I was worried that it might be a Rizzardo soapbox episode. It wasn’t. Very well done.
The new house building industry is in the same boat in BC we are waiting up to 3 or 4 months for building permits to be issued
everything in canada is dying, kinda why there's a tent city in every city town village across the country. Forestry, fertilizer, farmers, firearms, petroleum, housing, beef, grocery, automotive, Industries all decimated by the politicians. the west is not supposed to thrive ua-cam.com/video/oA1yCIHMJwY/v-deo.htmlsi=sydUf9Wa9lhRnlzb&t=48
Hummmm, so nothing has changed -- Loggers and Forestry just like fishermen are still the same self-entitled, exploitive, whussy's they've always been ......... Don't worry, heck, come to Alberta and come and work in oil and gas ..... oh wait yea you can't here either. Can you scoot me the name of the video production company so I can whine on camera about how I lost my job in IT for oil and gas too ...... Heck I've been in IT for a whole generation now, ever since I quit Television Production 25 years ago ..... BECAUSE the INDUSTRY DIED there TOO !!
I’m not going to cry for people who profit in destroying nature like if it was there for their wallets.
Well, our government is just a bunch of treasonous, corrupt pedophiles so don't feel too bad. All of Canada is being screwed by the 1% elites. If we all take our power back, this ends now
Until they figure out that we are all Expendable, for THEIR AGENDA'S Nothing or little will change!!
Yes well experienced at that! I have put in for jobs which I should get as a foreman for experience with then there for a month and move to General foreman"s position. But I get a "Due to the high volume of applicants ....."" WAPOS!
You will own nothing and be happy.
This is the definition pf "gatekeepers" i hope you get your permits soon with these monkey's running our country
This is going on all over bc.
Funny the main stream news has barley covered this at all. They are to involved into their mainstream garbage than real peoples lives and problems. I am sorry to hear what's going on.
I'm sorry for the difficulties that many in Merritt are facing...That's really tough.....This is all part of the plan. The World Economic Forum wants to end all logging. It's part of their "You will own nothing, but you'll be happy". Trudeau is following them to a T. They hate people who work for a living, because they don't know how to do that....Everything Trudeau has done since taking office has been to destroy the private sector and create dependency upon the government. The $75,000 buyout is a perfect example of that.....In the Netherlands, their government is attacking farmers.....Biden has attacked oil companies.....Nothing happens in isolation. This is all an agenda and part of their plan. I hope the people of Merritt do can overcome this and do well...I really like that little town....and I'm from the big city......
The. Federal government just shut off the water to farmers in BC also.
You can only afford to truck the logs so far . Savona had a sawmill and a plywood plant , but trucking in logs from the Pemberton Valley was uneconomical
Mackenzie was once a vibrant community, it had a papermill, pulpmill, 5 sawmills and various supporting businesses. It's now down to a stud mill, 2 sawmills and a co gen. Dozens of logging trucks shipping wood south of town. Not much of a future for these small towns in central, northern BC.
small towns just don't garner many votes in a democracy. it's a global phenomena. this even translates to the lower mainland where vancouver/surrey pretty much dictate the local agenda.
I own a small town sawmill 10 employees I’m having hard time finding logs to keep mill going because of this
Forestry wouldnt be such a problem if Canada's wood products weren't shipped away to other countries, that isn't sustainable...
Mills have been closing all across BC. Merritt is just one of hundreds of small communities devastated by decades of horrendous forest mismanagement. The Province has consistently failed to invest in areas of high intensity forest management to offset all the removals from the working forest. The Government took the windfall profits from the MPB outbreak and did essentially nothing to offset the inevitable downfall. Urban based populations have been bleeding the forests to pay for their fancy hospitals but consistently fail to allow the investment in Forestry that would be required to make it sustainable. BC is not a first world jurisdiction when it comes to forest management. We are grouped with Haiti in terms of our investment in forest management. Control of the forests needs to be separated from the influence of the urban black holes that suck up all the revenue generated in the Interior.
It sounds like it is by design. Not only does it put people out of work and make them dependent on government, it 'enhances' the 'climate emergency'. Forest fires (which are often set by arsonists) burn forests. No permits are given to clear said burnt forest. Trees are left to rot/dry, then fall, reducing the chances for new forests to grow and creating a tinderbox for the next forest fire. Dead trees don't wick water, creating a situation that allows run off from rain and melting snow. This creates flooding, which is blamed on the 'climate emergency'. If one knows why they want this to happen, the actions of the government makes sense.
We're always hearing about these huge corporations that are raping and pillaging and destroying the world. Here's a handful of small businesses with less than 50 employees desperately wanting to work, following the rules, filling out permits, and they're getting screwed. You really think 20 guys with excavators are destroying the planet?
Millions of dollars of equipment sitting there doing nothing while government officials who get paid to do nothing negotiate how to get themselves more handouts. It's criminal.,
Goobermind is herding the sheep... into 15 minute cities... DEW weapons are doing the damage... Climax change... is the story... The reset will wipeout EVERY THING... Melting transport trucks in LYTTON a few years back... Not a time to have children.
Come to Alberta, $40-$50/hr for lowbed/winch truck drivers
Thanks Willy. I'll pack my bags and hitch hike to Alberta for a driving job paying $40 to $50 an hour. What is your address?
UPDATE: the govvymnt WONT help these situations bc THEY are the ones FUELING its demise! WHY? bc they intend on closing down/emptying the smaller towns/cities in order to funnel the masses en masse INTO the lger cities. WHY? bc its easier to unleash a vyrus/a mega geefive pulz or an ee emp pea on the pokedup masses when theyre all in a densely populated area, why wd they do that? bc the masses are en masse completely IGNORANT of whats IN the health/pokke, they have no idea that theres graf eene ock cyde now in them via the spear, which is the worlds tiniest most efficient elec cond uck tor, and when that item is subjected to a lg pulz of geefive or empeee, it quickly shreds/klotz your venous system, ask any coroner, vids on yt unless theyve been scrubbed; ive seen them, its horrific. but thats WHY theres so many fires, floods, etc; theyre funneling the masses into lg dense citeez, for that reason.
WEF owns Trudeau and they want Canada a 3rd world country, Merrit will be a ghost town in the near future if they dont stop erroding away our country😠
Can help but submit that a renewed forest management plan needs to include salvage cut language-that skips this permit process, and establishes protocols for immediate action ( harvest). Now, we wasted good sawtimber, caused natural resource damage, economic hardships, and heartache. No way to live. Hope things get better.
