Idk why the last one always makes me cry... Is like the world would be better if I wasn't alive.. But than I remember I know I changed a few peoples life's for the better and thats what matters..

Now the 3rd one would be Stalking ending! 😂

i saw the 4th one first, then years later watched again and saw the first ending i thought i was going crazy

Thing is, in the 'Happy ending' one they should have known who each other were.

4th is the best. Its lined up with the plot.

I grew up with Ending 1 where my family and I watched it, and I was upset when I realized that I have bought another copy of Director's cut. But both 2 and 3 would have been amazing otherwise. Otherwise, one of the most unique thriller movies I've ever watched in early 2000's

I remember I watched the film ages ago with the ending 1, and I really liked it. I just watched after I don't know how many years the version ending 4, director cut (that I didn't like it) and I was like what's wrong with me? I remember a different ending and I'm sure it was this film, it can't not be this one! Now I wonder what's wrong with the production of this film? Why so many endings? Why so undecided?

It's genius that In the director's cut ending Evan's mother says "not again" so it makes you think that her previous babies had the power to go back in time too and killed themselves like Evan.

I’ve only ever known the baby ending until just now when I saw it on TV with them walking past each other, now I learn there’s 4 endings? Wtf?

I like the #3 - Open ending.

Crazy, but I only ever saw the directors cut back in the day 😮 literally 2024 now and I'm finding out about these 3 other alternative endings 😮 As depressing as it is, the directors cut somehow feels like the right one. From the conversation between Evan and his dad, where he's adamant that it must end with him, to the most intense final scenes where it's revealed that his mother had been pregnant several times before, implying that a similar series of events had played out previously. Extremely underrated movie.

When i first watched the film the directors cut it gave me chills so when it was on tv I got some friends to watch it but it was the theatrical cut. It ruins the film for me the other endings

Best movie ending ever. I love the way he understands that the only way of saving her, everyone else and he himself, was just never meeting her when they were child. And the movie ending is a bit tragical because after all those years, in that moment he could’ve met her (as adults) and maybe she could fall in love with him, but again: life has taken different courses for both of them and maybe she was already married or she just wasn’t the same person as he thought he knew in the past. He understood that the best way to stop suffering was to just letting her go

Just watched this again for first time since it came out and found myself shouting at TV to turn around and go after her!

Brilliant movie with directors cut, but ordinary with the rest endings. An ending can make a difference, just like fight club.

The director's cut ending is one of the saddest endings I've ever watched. All Evan wanted was for everyone to be happy. Realizing he was unable to be happy himself and deserve life in the first place is absolutely heartbreaking and then sacrificing himself for the sake of everyone and ultimately succeeding was nothing short of astonishing and brave. The ending cutscenes where everyone is happy and thriving, but with him being absent left a sense of sorrow, unfulfillment, and heartburning.

I have watched this move 4 times and on the fifth I realise there are more then one ending and I’m so mind blown 😭😂

Funny thing happened with me Im one that i remember every movie i watched and in great detail But this for some reason wasn’t the case with “The butterfly effect” I remembered watching it though and loving it So i rewatched it yesterday and as i saw it i would remember And then it came to the ending which this time was the directors cut. I thought wow, I didn’t remember the ending like at all this way Probably i was distracted or something the first time i thought Then i see this video and remember seeing the one where they are kids So in a way, the ending literally changed for me seemingly, making it perfect with the movie theme

my brother got the last ending and i got the first, we watched on different websites, and we didnt even know we watched different versions of the movie until we just randomly talked about it and he said he couldnt recall the ending i was talkin bout, crazy

I remember watching this movie in 2021 and it had the first ending. I just rewatched it and it had the directors cut ending and i was like what? wait a minute… butterfly effect? lmaoo i was like, i remember this is not the ending i saw and i searched it up so here am i.

The directors cut version makes the most sense due to the fact that he wasn't meant to be born... his father basically made him with his travel, so that's why nothing he would make would end well, so he just sacrificed to make everyone else happy. *Minus his mom*... now that I'm older tho I appreciate the cinematic ending more

There two best ending. He left his past behind him and burn any way to change it. He let everybody be happy, but without his enfluence, without him in their lives. In this ending only his mother is in sorrow.

I watched the director’s cut when I was in a relationship and it was so tragic. After my breakup I saw the multiple endings and it makes me feel good that maybe we also had multiple timelines where we are together and maybe we are apart only in this timeline. 🥲
