visit YOURPS3IP/edit.ps3/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res/VshFpsCounter.yaml change the things you want to "On" pretty much self explanatory when you open it.

the game is locked to 30fps if you run it as it should. here is used a patch to unlock the framerate to let the game pump as many frames as possible (within the restrictions imposed by the triple-buffered v-sync that is used in this game)

well, i would have, but this ps3 I did not torn it apart so i have no idea. the other crysis video I uploaded I put it in title but I think thats a RSX chip revision before the one in this video here cause it aint stable at 900 (ps3 2504 1A, min FW 3.5).

Its running so far past 30 its much better with triple buffering

@@3of12 the triple buffering just makes sure every frame displayed has a back up frame in case of the one in front coming out torn. this kind of v-sync stores 3 frames in memory (the one being showed and 2 back up frames). if we could disable the v-sync, we would have a bigger improvement.

well, yes cause the limiting factor on tlou is the cpu not gpu. If we could increase CPU frequencies we'd see bigger improvements very likely.

@@RiseAgainst004 so cpu is the bottleneck here? Im confused because if the game uses cpu very well with the gpu too then why doesn't it increase fps with higher frequency for gpu Is it that the game cannot read higher gpu frequency?

@@gnrtx-36969 I am certainly no expert, but I guess the cpu is already overwhelmed with all the stuff going on behind the scenes. Like Ai pathin for example when people run away in that last section where the gas station explodes, all that has the CPU to calculate and when theres so much going on and the cpu can't calculate it faster, it will simply bottleneck. And I do think naughty dog squezed every single bit out of that thing already.

@@RiseAgainst004 don't need to unlock the fps, just do a video benchmark on KillZone 2, cause it run around 22fps some times, an Overclock of 900mhz may lock to the game to 30Fps I guess Please please please please test it please please test please please please please

yea it most likely on a 40 or 24 NM slim gpu. I have phat with 65nm I won't go over 650 750. i wanna try but I'm scared lol

@@plazma2891 The Max you can do on 65nm is 650mhz anf if your PS3 """"bricks"""" which actually is just showing artifacts and freezing, then you can put fan on 100% just to Reverse The Overclock fimware you install with stock fimware or aceptable 600mhz oc firmware.

It's just the CPU. If they went for 3-4 core PPE like X360 instead of 1PPE+7SPE maybe it'd fare much better. Another thing is the PPE also suck at branch prediction, something games really need, a quad core PPC G4 would be even better.

Tanzu15 HELL NO, the PS3 GPU was from 2005, what you expect??? its an Shit 7800gtx, that card on PC is full pc of crap, i try run need for speed Shift 2 on it a long time ago and all i had was 9 fps and big block black figures on middle of the screen, many and many of ps3 era games on pc with 7800gtx runned like full crap, much worse the the ps3, now the ps3 achieve miracles with the CELL B.E Spes Being Proggammed to Process Graphics as it was designed to do, Thats why Killzone 2, 3, Uncharted 1, 2 and 3, Gran TUrismo 5, 6, THe Last of US, GOd of War 3, Ascencion Graphics are Much Superior Even to Any Graphics on Pc in 2011.

Yeah, there are 4 models of fan and only the Foxconn fan is quiet. The odds of getting that fan are quite low.

I do start a game at 0:24 I can assure you this thing is loud. My whole PC doesnt make this much noise and is like 5x more powerfil and pulls 3x the amount of power out of the socket.
