Invest in a 4K 60 capture PCI card you can put in to capture your benchmark tests in these machines. Anyway another great video in an awesome series. I'm hooked lol
I'll start looking for one, thanks for the recommendation!
Watching this a few months later now we know more about 13/14th gen cpus and the need for bios updates...degradation on these CPUs have been a nightmare, for so many users, sadly. Good on you for fixing this one - coincidentally my wife has an AMD base Alienware Aurora 15 lol Great video series anyway.
Yeah at the time when I made this video that was all still completely unknown for the most part. Still can't believe something on that wide of a scale happened. Thank you again for the support and your comments on the whole series
The level of professionalism involved in producing these videos is exceptional. I wish you all the success going forward - allowing for not so positive/constructive experiences along the way. :) Great video series.
how do you keep your inventory?
I have two tables which I work on top of, and I very tightly manage the space beneath them so that most of my parts fit there. All of my cases and completed builds are lined up stacked against the wall in my basement and anything else that doesn’t fit goes in my personal closet.
@@JackPCBuilds do you have a spreadsheet or anything to manage it
Yes, nothing particularly organized as I wouldn’t personally need a bunch of different categories so I just put everything on a big long list sorted by purchase date with all of the other stats and then mark once something’s been used in a build already. And use ctrl f to find whatever I’m looking for.
idk why but the 5600 is going for like less than $90 in my country but the gpus are always like 20% higher than msrp
most cpus are always under the price I see in the US
What country?
So good pc's i love your Rtx 3080 and Corsair Case builds, i am gonna buy parts nad flip one of those for 300-400 dollars profit the rgb looks so good!
Thank you, keep in mind when looking that the reason I’ve gotten higher than average profit on some of these is because of really good deals, for example some of those cases I used, I was able to get for crazy low prices of like 20 or 30 dollars. Make sure you look for deals and get your parts for below market value or it will be tough to do the same. If you are going to start, now is definitely the time because we are entering the holiday season which is generally the best time of year by far. Good luck!
Amazing video im gonna watch the rest now!
Any recomendations for picture angels, i have a s24 ultra but i dont know whats the best colours and angels!
Thanks! For pictures, honestly just try to copy the angle of what mine look like as best as you can for now. I am making a full guide to taking pictures next, so I would say to look forward to that for a much much more detailed answer.
I mostly sell my PC's for cash on local marketplaces and haven't taken taken sale taxes into consideration, are you mostly selling locally? If so, and this might be a stupid question, why are you listing the revenue on tax forms when you could easily...not? I live in Europe so maybe it's way less strict here than in the US in terms of second hand dealing.
Well I’m doing it at a large enough scale to pass the threshold where I’m now supposed to report it (which is not that much). Even though it’s cash transactions and such I don’t want to risk getting in trouble or set a bad record.
Nice content my guy! You jus got a SUB!. Quick question. would the Montech King Pro be a nice fit for my EVGA 3080? I have the Corsair 220T but i want a new look. Im not upgrading right now lol i just want a new look. Besides icue has bn buggn out lately and im tired of that. Got to uninstall and reinstall, and all tht, jus tired of it.
Hey, thanks! I don’t know if you’ve bought it already since I’m a little late to reply but if you like the way the case looks then I’d say go for it. It’s a very premium case and although I’ve never paired the two of those together myself I would expect that they would look great together. You could try searching for a build on pcpartpicker with similar parts and see if there’s someone who has done something similar in the past. And I hear you on icue, it can be annoying sometimes.
@@JackPCBuilds thx for getting back with me. And I’ll check into tht. Yeah man icue is terrible. I see now most of the high end fans and cases aren’t very good lol.
what is your goal for flipping pc?
Honestly I don’t even have one anymore. I started out doing it to learn about hardware, then I did it for money as like a high school job kind of thing. And now I’m just kind of doing it on a lower scale but making the youtube videos as well. I’m not saving up the profits of flipping for anything in particular (like most people’s series) if that is what you mean.
Go Jack Go! 🎉🎉🎉

🙂 Sorry you had a few problems. Ghosts in the Machine are a real thing. Nobody really wants to talk about it but PC Parts are NOT UNIVERSALLY INTERCHANGEABLE. Alot of pc parts are being thrown out unecesarily because you assume it should work witih A + B + C parts. It almost never occurs to have on hand multiple different parts from different brands and models that way you can triple check that its not an incompatibility problem. Also any built PC wether its new or used you really need to turn it into a Daily Driver for at least 7 days, actually use it every day and put it thru all the basic task like office and browser and various applications and various video games. It can be sometimes very difficult and nearly impossible to fix some of these PCs if you dont have access to a whole boat load of parts. And then the best you can do is keep what you know for sure works and make a pile of parts that dont work and come back to them years later when you have access to cheap spare parts or just use them for decoration piece on the wall or shelf. As for keys if its cheaper the 7 8 10 keys can be used to activate 11. If its only spare computers around your own house u dont need to buy a key u can simply use a generic throwaway key but for selling computers hook em up with a legit key that activates with their servers and registers the motherboard. Really the only best time to Flip PC's is between Oct 1 and Dec 25, cause no matter how bad the economy is the kids gotta have their Christmas Presents. But price it fairly and dont be price gouging. For other ideas you might want to look at Ebay Listings and see what other sellers are doing to add more value such are preloading their gamings pcs with drm free pc games and emlulators and console roms. Me personally I would do 512gb ssd for Windows and then a 4TB 3.5 Hard Drive where I would preload it with games. All the games would be installed and launch tested. Shortcuts would already be on the desktop. Basically Plug n Play. But thats me. And last spend 30 bucks and order yourself a wireless clip on microhphone and attach it to your shirt cause they way your recording does not sound good, if you play your video on my smartfon with a fon speaker its not too noticeable but if you try to play your video on a 5.1 Home Stereo like what I have here in the Living Room its really bad broh. Thats all I got for you. Dont forget tomorow to pickup your weekly free Epic Game. Have a good weekend and Happy Halloween. 🎃👻
Yeah it was definitely a weird situation, still don’t exactly know what specifically was going on but at least it’s gone now. I like what you said about using a computer as a daily driver for a little bit to get the experience on it, I’ve found things in the past by doing that which I wouldn’t have caught otherwise. I also for sure agree with you on the october-december window. Looking into microphones now, didn’t realize it would be so cheap to get one. Thanks!

yo bro i have a i9 10900k rtx 3070 ti 2 terabyte ssd and 32 gigs of ram and i got inspired by u to sell my rig, im tryna sell it for 1300 at least but hopefully some more that way i can look for deals and i can also build a better pc if i cant find any deals, so my question is do you have any advice? and is this realistic to sell it for this price?
Hi, great to hear! Not to give generic advice but it does really just depend on where you live. In my area that kind of build would sell for right about $1000 if it's got good aesthetics and nothing wrong with it. But I know in other countries PC parts can be far more expensive so it all depends on where you're at and what other options people near you would be looking at (your competition). You'll also likely have much more interest and much better luck selling it once November/December comes around, so keep that in mind too and be patient. For other advice, find every possible way to make yourself stand out. Just go above and beyond. Get good pictures, make sure to appear (and be) trustworthy throughout your description and responses to inquiries. Provide support if they have any questions and give a straightforward negotiation and sale process. And if there's anything else you can think of to stand out from the competition, then do that.
ayy major dubs bro WWW video🙏
Thank you
just subscribed, glad u got into pc building, i have been doing it for 6 years now , its so much fun, glad u chose pc building 🖥
Yep, it's fun for sure!
How much did you invest in your inventory?
Hard to come up with an exact number, I started out with around $700, added another thousand a little later and then just continuously reinvested everything with each build and worked my way up from there.
Contact NZXT Support and tell them what happened with the front grille. They should be able to drop you a replacement. They did for one I was building. Cheers!
I bought it open-box on a 3rd-party auction with no warranty - damages like that are rather common. But I got it for a small fraction of retail and it's now being used in my friend's personal build so it still went to good use. Thanks though!
You must live in a wealthy area those $1000+ builds would never sell in mine. Everyone is after $300-$400 budget builds. You'd be lucky to break even in my area.
Yeah I actually strategically list them in an area that's pretty far away from where I actually live just because it's got significantly more population density, higher avg income, but low crime. Not sure if that ACTUALLY does anything but it's worth mentioning. Always of course do what works best for you.
hey jack nice vid do you need an editor ?
Thank you. And, I'm not really doing this seriously enough to be at that level yet, but thanks for the offer
Hey, Jack. It takes me about a month to sell one pc, And I'm not sure why it takes so long. Is it because there's not much people in my area or is there low demand or is this just a beginner thing?
Honestly everyone's been feeling that recently. I'm experiencing super long sale times as well and so are many others. I'd say it's likely just the time of year and if things follow the normal pattern you can probably expect it to pick up here going into the holiday season.
Thanks for the info, but I also had a pc listed in november last year and it still sold a day before christmas. My bet would be that people are just scared of being scammed by a private seller. Also what wold you concider a super long sale time in your case?
@@RoXxD7512 Super long sale time being 1-2 months on the $1K+ range recently. Whereas before (February-May) it was more like 2-4 weeks average for the same performance tier. (and those builds were costing me/selling for about ~$200 more back then than they do right now as well) However, seemingly out of nowhere I sold 2 computers for $1150 and $1050 last week (which were at lower profit than my target, but this was after getting zero interest for an entire month) I would say you're correct in the analysis. Here is another thing I have definitely found a pattern in: On the cheaper builds, I will get tons and tons of clicks and messages. But maybe only 10% of those messages actually commit. And of the ones who do commit, 50% of them change their mind the next day. On the expensive builds, I'll literally go an entire month with only 100 clicks and zero messages. Not even one message. But then seemingly out of nowhere someone randomly messages and says something like "Hey, I want to buy this, I have the cash, I can meet today, where are you located?" And then I sell it that same day. Because the people who are actually willing to go and drop that much money on a computer with no warranty from some random guy, actually usually do their research and know what they're getting BEFORE they even reach out. They've already weighed out all the options between my offering and the competition. And when they do reach out, they've already come to the decision that they want it, and they've also probably been thinking about it for a few days, so they've already got the money in hand. Versus if someone's looking at a $400 computer, they are probably talking to 6 other people about similar computers and making decisions as they go since it's not as big of a decision or a risk. Yes that was an essay but I don't know a shorter way to explain that concept.
@@JackPCBuilds Yeah that's exactly what I'm dealing with as well. Any pc over 1200Pln ($300) and the only interest is a couple of people bookmark it for later and it stays up like this for a month or two. Kind of relieved I'm not the only one with this problem. Thanks for your time and best of luck to you🙏
Hi, I'm starting to flip pcs, should I put amd cards ?
Hey, cool to hear! It all comes down to your own personal experience to be honest. Myself and many others struggle to sell PCs with amd cards, so I’d typically recommend just going with nvidia unless you get a really good deal. But if you find more success with them where you are then go with whatever works for you.
Can't believe someone spent 1k on that 3700x 3070 build, i need to start flipping pcs.
go Jack go!
👍
Corsair SFX PSUs are actually the best on the market, quite and reliable. Sounds like you did get a bad one, I would just replace it with another.
Yeah, I bought it something like a year ago for $47 on ebay and it passed PSU tests and everything (still does) but that doesn’t always tell the whole story as shown here.
Hello , from Eastern europe , im flipping pc in my country for more than 5 years , im watching your videos with pleasure )
That’s a long time, wow. Good to hear it works in places outside of the US too.
Great video! Following you from belgium in europe and doing the same thing as you for more than a year! Here in my country people on the “used” market do not spend more than 400/500euros and that is actually a bummer cause I cannot make 3080 builds like you. Or as I should say, I could, but I would need to underprice them a lot. We do not even have combo deals in belgium, not even in Germany, France or the Netherlands so I need to pay everything in full price or get a good deal on secondhand website or marketplace but it is not that easy. For example: a 500gb sata ssd is more than 35euros. In the US you can get one for much lower than that even 1tb. Keep up the job btw💪
Thanks! And nice, I do get what you’re saying about how some markets it just wouldn’t work the same as others. Definitely do whatever you find works best in your own market and just stick with that.
Hey jack. Commenting on an old video. That 11 gb of vram you see that call of duty is using is just call of duty asking for it. It doesn't actually use that much. You would need some sort of engine software to see actual used.
Got it, thanks for the info / correction.
i have the same gpu that i took out my alienware and my hot spot used to get up to 100c but i put more fans in and it gets to 90c
Yeah I at one point tested it in a 4000D wwhich is a larger case, with all fans, and it peaked at like 96 or something Assuming fans below the card would be even better
@@JackPCBuilds yeah the fans i put in were the ones at the bottom
nice stuff I use to do this as a kid when pcs were more skilled/different to build / setup and get working (late 1980s early 1990s) so jumpers and manual setting up everything LOL. Not worth it to me today :)
Nice, obviously I’ve got no experience with hardware that old but I’m sure it was a much different experience
great job dude
Thank you
