I was able to order the $8 piece from Jimmyjib with $25 shipping, solder it into place, and get the jib to work. Although it took longer to fix than I recorded.

I attempted to fix a very tiny piece that broke on the Jibs control unit. This piece controls the center point for the camera tilt. You can skip the video and know that I failed because this is not a piece you can fix. You just have to purchase one for $8 from Jimmy Jib and move on with your life. However, I was stubborn and tried to fix it anyways.

Then you will power down the device. Still let it cool down before putting away. I am not an expert on these lights. I made this video mainly for my students.

The remote is universal and works with all hot shoes.
How much watts is the model lamp? And is the light from the model lamp good enough to use as continuous light for photoshoot?
I don't know the wattage but it is NOT bright enough for continuous lighting.
This does record in MP3 according to the specs

Hey Professor Z , i just rented a Canon XA20 and i am having trouble getting sound from the footage i have already recorded. 3 days of 9 hours of work in fact. Very frustrating. Can you give me a rundown of a step by step what to do, if you can?
It sounds like you never recorded audio in the first place. Always do a test recording to make sure your settings are correct. If you have the handle attached and it’s switched to on, if you don’t have a mic plugged in, you won’t record any audio.
@@keithzdrojowy3074 So the internal mic is not enough? You need an additional mic on top of the camera in order to record audio? Why the guy that rented me the video not give me that as well as the camera and the battery?
You can use the internal mic. I was just giving a scenario that I have seen people run into in the past. With any camera you should always do a test recording to make sure everything is working.

The trigger is universal. It fits on any cameras flash mount. I have personally used it with Canon and Lumix. It should work with Nikon just the same.

Yes, you need to wait for them to recycle just like most strobes.
I don’t know if I didn’t see it. You went through the menu and completely ignored the audio settings? You think audio settings are not important?
The people I was making this for were using the external handle that has the XLR inputs and audio controls. When the audio on the handle is on, you can’t use the audio settings in the menu.

Hey man thank you for the great video! I have a question regarding to multi ptz camera use. I have one sony rf7 and the controller, and want to use more cameras like you do in here, but my question is or there's a possibility to combine other camera's with the Sony controller and RF? And which ones do you recommend? Also how can I get a multi view of all the cameras on one monitor? And my ls question is, do you get the output of RF 7 from the hdmi on the camera? Or is there also an output on the controller to stream on OBS or connect it to ATEM.... Sorry im new in this and your answers really could help me out 🙏

Thanks for the BTS. That Sony remote controller looks nice. I sued a cheaper Birddog controller with 3 PTZ cams and it was just crap. It took ages to switch between cameras and the buttons were unresponsive - you really had to pound them to get the to register a push and so many times you'd miss shots because it would take too long to switch cameras to control. The sony is priced way out of my league though. Hopefully it's many many times better than the one I used. It looks like it is.
PTZ optics makes a more affordable set up.

How do I hear myself from the mic??
This is a set and forget device. You place it on someone and walk away. I have been using them for a couple of years now and have never had an issue.

When you are recording, the screen will be black with the record circle and the clock will be counting up. If the card isn't in, it won't let you record. You can either connect the recorder using a USB cable to your computer or take the MicroSD card out and connect using a card reader to your computer.

They work well, but if I was purchasing for myself, I might opt for a couple of speed lights because they are more portable. I tend to work mostly on location, so lighter is better for me.

I am not sure. I don't use these on the regular and I have not done a full test. 1/200 might be the max.
Never tried Zoom before but I love it. Good idea for a video - third party apps that power up a Mac. Mine include TripMode and Magnet.
Because of you I installed Magnet and I love it!
