    Who has the time to check temperature?

    • @HotWokAcademy
      @HotWokAcademy Місяць тому

      You're right! Sometimes, we need to cook quickly so that we can eat quickly and get on with our lives. But sometimes, cooking can be what we're looking forward to doing for enjoyment! And when we get to do that, taking the time to measure temps is a fun part of the craft. All the best!

    Canola oil is bad for our health. Use olive oil or coconut oil instead.

    • @HotWokAcademy
      @HotWokAcademy Місяць тому

      Thank you for the comment! A great alternative is avocado oil, which also has a high smoke point! Olive oil will definitely smoke a lot if you’re stir frying with higher temperatures.

    bro why was all the noise coming in through my left ear?

    • @HotWokAcademy
      @HotWokAcademy 11 місяців тому

      Good question! The sound was recorded through a wireless lav mic onto 1 channel or audio. When edited there’s is a step that is taken to fill two channels. This step was missed. Exporting the file in mono instead of stereo would have also worked! We’ll get it right for the class this weekend! Thanks for asking!

    so what does this do specifically? like is it increasing the aromaticity of the aromatics?

    • @HotWokAcademy
      @HotWokAcademy 11 місяців тому

      In a way yes, when we cook aromatics in fat/oil it does have that effect. The main feature of this video is using the high sides of the wok to hold the meat while we cook the aromatics in the middle.
