Edging on beaded project
I was asked on how to edge beadwork. Hope this helps. Might cause some motion sickness to some. I tried my best to show what I was doing.

Here is the resort I built. I started building it on survival, but it was taking a long long time and I wanted to finish it so I switched to creative. This is on the Xbox. In the video my family helps narrate the tour. This was my first time using the Dazzle to create my videos, and I had to improvise with it. I couldn't get the voice-over to work right( my bit is 64, the Pinnacle Studio 14 ver...

We waited in line on Black Friday to get an Xbox Kinect for the kids for Christmas. Since the kids were at my sister's house we came home and tested it out.
Thank you
Very cool lapel pin! You don't have to insult yourself, i think you did just fine! Thankyou for sharing!😊
was great for the first edging but lost me on the second because you kept going out of camera lense. also, using a beading mat and scoop your beads instead of picking up one by one.
Slt Madame j'aimerais apprendre a préparé le de coupure que vous avez mis la perlee
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful knowledge! Beautiful work ❤
You and other teachers here are such a treasure for the people that didn’t have family or friends to teach us ❤️ Thank you for being so generous!
many reasons why this is important to add to the community
I know this is an old video. Just wanted to let you know how to pronounce "cabochon". It's "cab-uh-shawn" with the emphasis on "cab". 😉
Such an amazing video! I've watched so many and never really got it. Love the way you explained everything, super easy to follow.
That was such a great video! Very helpful!!! Thank you!
Love watching your videos but I was wondering if you could make a video on how to bead around sharp corners?
I remember that day! Precious memories
Ello niece...
Thank You!
What are the rhinestones looking things called they look plastic
So pretty, I wish I had the patience to try this . I would love to learn how to do beading on birch bark. That is so awesome and I would love to find out how to do it. Haven't been able to find any instructions for it but may be some day . But anyway your peices are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. 🤗💖
where can i get the plastic base rhinestone chain that goes on the edge? Thank you
I'm get my rhinestone banding from online bead stores. The sizes I use are 6ss and 8ss. You can also find rhinestone banding on Ebay.
@@MsSarah5252 do you have links to these sites for those Rhinestone trimmings?
www.beadededgesupply.com/
Thank you so much for the link. I cant believe it this is the site I have been looking for because it has those beautiful scarves on there and size 15 beads as well.
What size is the beads you use
Size 11's
Thank you
Your patient and detailed explanations are fabulous. Thank you! great photos, too, with your cell phone!!
I like your patterns, very pretty. Pee-coe, the T is silent. I personally would end my thread through the back instead of cutting it off and melting the ends.
Thanks so much. I learned what I needed. Love to hear the history of being taught by your grandmothers!
Can you do this kind of edging even if you don't have rhinestone banding around your beadwork ? I'm making a medallion for my boyfriend and there's no rhinestones around the edges ,, just beads
Yes you can. Just pretend your last row is your is your rhinestone and make your stitches 1/8 of an inch apart from each other, but make sure that you are feeding your thread under the last row of beads when you start your next stitch, otherwise you'll be able to see your thread over your last row of beads.
thank you! I was trying to figure out how to finish off my daughter's hair clip. this helps immensely!
My question is when you are beading around the cabachon what type of beading are you doing? If you will? I suppose that’s another video. But are you doing the 1 or 2 thread stitch? Bead embroidery stitch? Please and thank you.
I use 1 needle. I lay down 6 beads then then come back up between the 3rd and 4th beads and then through the 4th, 5th and 6th bead. Then I add another 6 beads and repeat.
I love your colors. Neat design.
Thank you! This is the best one I've seen.
My mom always puts her thread through bees wax to make it stick together while she was beading. Eliminates the tangliness of the string... Just a tip.
Good!
thank you.. you've made it easy 👍
I'm new to beading , about a month in. I already beaded a bunch of earrings but I don't know how to do the edging. Lol I just attempted and I hate it. Maybe I'm really picky who knows.
That is also something that I went through when I started beading. I played around with different edges. There are so many styles. Check out the vendors at events that sell beadwork. Ask if you could see how they do their edging. They might offer classes. And Pinterest has a lot of pictures of beadwork to scout for ideas. You might end up creating your own unique style.
Vee Marie this one can be harder to.keep clean. if u use banding to end your beadwork....bead one of those ^^ stitches in between each of the little stones on the banding. if u just don't plain like this stitch, look up picot edging.... that one a lot of beaders use and you can do different variations of this stitch. go onto fb and ask us beaders questions, many ppl will help you out and offer suggestions 😊
Omg!! Ms. Sarah...you really helped in ending the edging which I was having a real problem with.....your way is so much easier, than the other tutorials I viewed. Thank you very much.
Appreciated every shake, camera frustration, and disclaimer! My kinda beader! lol :D Only difference is I cuss more around knot time LOL Yakoke! (Thank you!) ;D
This is incredibly helpful! Thanks so much for sharing. <8D
Where do you find your banding?
I get bulk discounts from a girl on Facebook. Her group is Heartly Craft Supply. I also order from these two websites: NDN Bead Ladies and Beaded Edge Supply.

Wela'lin ( thank you in Mi'kmaq) from NS, Canada! Your video was just what I was looking for!!! Simple and easy instructions ☺ your work is beautiful ❤
Thank you, glad it helped.
Yeah, I know, I had to say it. There are a lot of people out there that like to bully other people and I don't tolerate it happening to my family.
