We started out UA-cam versions of our podcast, but somehow it was never labeled under the podcast button. So I believe people are having a hard time finding us on UA-cam. Is there a way to label the videos as audio only? I recently found the option to upload the RSS feed but now the videos are doubled. I want to make sure that people who want to watch the video version aren’t disappointed when they click the audio version not realizing there’s a video version option.

Tried to sign up to Buzzsprout but my UK card company declined them, as they don't comply with latest regs.

Great video! These 2 are on my short list. Think I just need to hit the free trial to really distinguish which one is for me. Also, on my short list is Buzzsprout, RSS, and Acast. I guess it's not that short of a list. Big thing for me is not having to pay more for more shows, being able to have team members, and monetization. Also, big plus to whomever allows me to make a main website page that has can be your overarching network name with pages for all the shows.

I'm brand new to the podcasting scene, but having done a fair amount of research, I've recently signed up with CoHost. All the platform has to offer is and will be wonderful as I move along, but the SINGLE biggest factor that impressed me is that they actually ACT as though they WANT my business! Very responsive. Timely. Sold.

I have pot bean had it for a couple of years did not use all the features. I have my husband uploading it but because I'm mainly doing everything myself now I think I'm gonna go with speaker because looking for sponsors and ads to make money is difficult for me right now

Built a few podcasts and been a fan of Transistor, but before i set up my next podcast, checked this out, and I'm sold I'm setting up with these guys for their dynamic ads editing, and awesome looking websites, love to have you get him on again with any new updates, as well I'd love for you to do a Co-host interview if they will jump on for their prefix option.

hey...cacn i ask...can a podcast talk to another podcaster under 1 session casting?

I actually currently host my podcast on Captivate, and a couple things to note. 1. I constantly have issues with pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll content. Sometimes I will select the audio I want to use, it'll save and process, then just not be there anymore. Sometimes I can use the bulk editor to fix, but sometimes I have to go to their support team which usually takes about a day to resolve. When I'm posting a new episode, that can be incredibly frustrating. 2. The do have a Wordpress plugin, but it's really not very good. To their credit, Captivate support did log in and fix it, but when the plugin updated it was broken again. So I really haven't updated that plug and I'm looking for an alternative way to have my podcast episodes on my website. 3. They do have a guest booking system, but it's not very mature. I had to go block out days every week instead of just creating a standard schedule. Plus the email it sends is nonsense, and my guests were getting confused. So I have stopped using it and now work through zcal. 4. My final note is about the dynamic content in the show notes. It works only when publishing to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc. The dynamic content does NOT show up via the Wordpress plugin or in the embed code. So while it's kind of a neat idea, it's not very useful to me. Had I had this to do over, I would have saved some money and gone with Podbean. Hope this helps someone :)

I'm leaning towards Transistor given it's multiple podcasts on one subscription. You did mention that they are missing some of the bells and whistle. Could you expand on this as your walkthrough episode with them suggested they had quite a range

There is one BIG draw back for Podbean that I’ve discovered. It’s not easy to get monetized using their Ad Marketplace -if you’re an “EU Client” (their words not mine) you MUST be VAT registered to use any of their Ad services even if you want to insert pre/mid/post roll ads of your own. And the likelihood is if you’re a hobby podcaster you may not be a company or VaT registered. I recently wanted to use their mid-roll feature to insert a call to action on all my episodes including past ones. But I can’t use that feature because of the restriction mentioned. Annoyingly a restriction they don’t mention when you sign up. So approach with caution if you want to do things like this. So in the future if I want to run any small ads etc whether paid promotion or not I will have to change hosts.
