Hi! this might seem like a silly questions but do you know after getting into a degree apprenticeship and they give you block release (one month in total) and you are to spend 1 week in university (that university is far btw and you're staying in a hotel far from home), will the other apprentices go with you at the same time during that same week or is each one offered a different week than the others? thank you!

Really interesting to hear the perspective of a recruiter on these things. I have applied last year to degree apprenticeships and wasn't successful, although I did reach the interview stages for a few. I'm thinking of getting a CV review from yourself, but I was wondering, how would it differ if I was to apply to level 4 Apprenticeships instead?

Currently doing this, I have one and on board to getting my second. I’m not trying to be funny but isn’t this kind of deceitful. One company is literally giving me a tour later this month and taking me to meet the team and have lunch after, but I know that Im probably going to choose the second company over it. But seeing as I don’t have the contract yet, I cannot be sure hence why Im going along and im going to meet the team even tho I have no intentions of joining it. Can u pls give me advice, is this normal? There’s only 2 apprentices in my cohort this year and so if I get the second contract im definitely leaving but I feel guilty like this is somewhat wrong.

would you recommend doing research for different degree apprenticeship companies beforehand to work in to add when doing different cover letters later down the line? and how many words should a Cover letter be

This is really informative and very clear. More people should avoid spending thousands of Dollars and time on degrees that don't even pay properly.

These tests put me off wanting to work for any company that uses them, they prove absolutely nothing and in a real life situation are useless, just a complete waste of people's time, but a good way of reducing down the number of applicants for a role, especially for many graduate applications who have no work experience behind them. What an absolutely crazy world we live in in 2024

My engineering graduate scheme with the civil service was great, a super flexible scheme and I got great experience. Pay was pants though and did not keep up with inflation at all, but after my scheme I bounced and easily got a higher rate tax band paying job in the private sector. The degree apprentices alongside my scheme seemed to always be considered second class to us. Their scheme is obviously longer and it pays even worse than the grad scheme of course. My biggest gripe would be how your forced to go to a particular university that is often not well known. I went to a top 10 uni so maybe if you have more potential than low-mid tier uni's a degree apprenticeship might not be ideal. Though your employability would probably be great if you got a scheme with a great business.

I just wanted to ask what do you think the salary for a level 3 apprenticeship in the technology field. Can u give like a rough estimate.

Hm, well back in my day(graduated 2013) it was nearly 700 candidates per spot in the Big Four. I am assuming that 50-1 would be Final Interview/Assessment center figures?

It's hard to get a job in the US too. They have jobs requiring bachelor's degrees and 2 years experience, paying $15 per hour. I'm in the food industry right now making $19.37. Why would I switch?

I have a rather good experience with Graduate Schemes. I got selected for multiple of them. Sadly, I did not end up joining the one I liked the most.

i was told to apply for a graduate role at RBS, apparently recruiter was adamant that I would get the job, in finance, I said no, then she says, but this is a very sought after scheme, there are thousands applying, salary was 19 or 20k, cant remember, I got a starting salary of 27k from a normal job, and just 3 years later I was on £5k net income, graduate schemes are a scam, they want the best person but offer the worst salary, looking back I can see why the recruiter wanted me to apply, I know now I was sure to get it, but I am glad I didn't go for it, I would be stuck there for at least 3-5 years, and never be on the salary I am on now

Make a video on skill building. What exactly is skill building and what we have to do in order the bridge the gaps in our knowledge. I am not able to clear online testing and Whenever I sit for an interview, They ask me questions but I am not able to answer the questions. What Am I lagging, It may be multiple things, May be one thing... depends. Try to cover all aspects of it in the video. Since, I am from a remote village studied from a local school with very average grades. what is wrong with me I dont know 😢😢. Its getting very stressed out because i do not have any corporte exposure or I dont know what exactly has to be done to fill up that gap so that i could perform atleast averge 😢 A person like you provides appropriate guidance is wayyy too much perecious for me bcuz its so cold 😢

I've got to do a presentation for a Marketing Assessment Centre, which is obviously a pretty visual based field- and I wanted to be creative with how I execute the presentation. Since they're giving us time to prepare it until then (as in days), should I not make it visually appealing?
