I did your last years summer quilt along and loved it so much that I decided to do this year’s sewing along. I love your tutorials so much. You make it so easy to follow along. I wish you would do more sew alongside.

I am following, but I am not sewing with you. I do love watching especially when you were in your RV. That was fun. When we had our RV at a lake with I used to take my featherweight so machine and so on the deck with the cat and the dog napping. That was a treat watching you continue on your series. It just shows how dedicated and genuine you are. Anyway, I do love all these blocks and I wish I had gotten a kit because your color choices are so wonderful. I have never done anything in just solids.

Scant 1/4” got me thinking, why use it as opposed to a standard 1/4”? You are still trimming the units down to size. Now down the rabbit hole with other pattern designer’s 1/4” of choice…

So glad I ran across these blocks. Very pretty. I have several fat quarters to use...looking forward to making them.

Happy camping and thank you taking the time to keep us going. The block would be gorgeous just a whole quilt.

An easier way to make the HST's is to use two 5 1/2" squares of fabrics A, B, and background. Place Fabric A to Fabric B, Fabric A to Background Fabric, and Fabric B to Background Fabric (right sides together). Sew a 1/4" seam along all four sides of square, then cut each square diagonally each way to make 4 perfect 3 1/2" HST. This method is much easier and uses less fabric.
