Marvel Crisis Protocol: Moon Knight Part 2
Переглядів 762 роки тому
The final part of my Moon Knight build for Atomic Mass Games' Marvel Crisis Protocol. I'm really happy with how he turned out, the white is stark but still has good shading from the initial layer of Contrast White, and the subtle gold work and black lines do a good job of breaking it up. Fallout Wasteland Warfare: Deacon
Переглядів 1672 роки тому
This week's video we have Deacon from the Railroad Operatives box set. A fairly basic model I went with more testing of Army Painter's Speed Paints. I've decided not to keep using these on my Fallout models as I find them a bit to bright, but they are perfect for my Crisis Protocol models. I also tested using a micron pen to do some details on the shirt to break up the color some. Model; US Sit...

Marvel Crisis Protocol: Moon Knight Part 1
Переглядів 762 роки тому
Finally getting started with my Moon Knight build for MCP. While I am disappointed with the basing options in this set, that's what 3D printing is for. I found a great substitute on Thingiverse so we're mounting him to that. We'll also do 2 separate sub assemblies so we can be sure to get good paint coverage. Enjoy and I'll have the final part up in a couple weeks. Base: www.thingiverse.com/thi...
Fallout Wasteland Warfare: Railroad Heavy
Переглядів 922 роки тому
This week's Fallout Friday video is the first model from the Railroad Operatives box. I've done up one of the generic "Heavies" and he's looking pretty good. I'll be using this same scheme on all my Heavies as well as Glory (sorry no vid for her, just follow this one diff hair color). I'm liking using dirty down rust as patches, it was just as easy to apply on a smaller scale as the larger terr...

Marvel Crisis Protocol: Amazing Spider Man

A new Marvel Monday! No I swear it is! Pay no attention to the border I left on lol. This is a gift for a friend of mine who requested he be done as the black/silver costume from Spider-Man 3. I used the same techniques as my Spider-Man and used silver ink to do the lining. I love how dynamic this model is, the sense of action and movement is perfect for the character. Fallout Wasteland Warfare: Arcade Gannon
Great to see you back making fallout videos!
Thanks!
I enjoyed your prior videos so it's good to see you back. I have all the Fallout miniatures but as I hated the Nuka World expansion for the computer game, I will likely not be buying these minis. I'll buy the game though because I found the original rules to be way too clunky so I hope to adapt these for regular Fallout. 👍
There are free quick start rules and lists for the existing factions from wasteland warfare on Modiphius website.
I love how this came out! I would love to know what you used for the sound and lights, Audio FX Sound Board on your blog, do you go into more details on what you used in your other videos? if not I would love a list so I can do this as well!
It's so long ago I don't have an exact parts list but I can describe my process. I used LED lights from any hobby vendor (I use evandesigns.com/) these will have a voltage rating that then determines the battery to use. So in this case I used 3volt LEDs and so got a 3volt coin battery holder as well and then just wired it all up with a switch, nothing fancy just wire to wire soldering. The Sound board itself was the easy part, it was a very simple setup so just got the battery and speaker it recommended and followed the pin diagram to solder it together. Programming is just connect the USB port and drag/drop the files with specific naming convention. Sorry I don't have further details.
Hi don’t know if you’re still around just getting into fallout wasteland warfare. But it was good to see more UA-cam videos on it.
Been on a hobby haitis but hoping to have more stuff when I get ahold of Factions
Do I have to glue these models and is there a painting guide anywhere online? Thanks
Yes as these are multipart resin models you have to glue them together, I usually use a gel superglue (my current favorite is Loctite ultragel control). The New Vegas book contains examples and a guide.
Whenever you apply sand, turf, grout, etc. you should do it over a piece of white paper and catch the leftovers and return to proper container. Cheers from eastern TN
Use a razor saw up and down along the length of one side of the stick to add more wood grain depth. Need to fray some of the ends of the boards. Just my 2 cents worth. Cheers from eastern TN
It says on the sheet that the build instructions are on the FFG website, I know I'm old and need glasses, but I can't find them, this video was a great help.
Did you quit youtube?
I have had a massive spike in real world stress that has killed my hobby time, I hope to get back but haven't painted but 1 figure all year
Wait, securitrons are SO big? Like Securitron is twice or even more bigger than those two robobrains. Or it's just the way preview looks?
They are that big yes, it's why I only have the 1 and Robobrains are sold 2 to a box
@@ExcaliburHobbies Heh, i see. Tho i guess they made them a little bit too big. In NV they are +- the height of local Super Mutants. Can't wait to see them in stock, only recently discovered that Fallout actually has a wargame lol. (Tbh my necron army from wh40k is still unpainted, but anyways i want securitrons too xD) Love watching good painting done. But quite afraid to try myself.
I was lucky and got in at the start, kept up with it, and now have everything. Most models are FO4 scale and design. The new wave will contain FO3 based designs, and there are some FONV sculpts as well now.
Please Tell me how to paint the modiphius 3d print Vault!
If you printed it using an FDM (Filament) printer I'd start with a filler primer/sanding until you get it as smooth as you want. Then proceed (and this goes for Resin from the start) with a good basecoat of black, then an entire coat of metallic. These can be done with an Airbrush if you have one, if not just get some rattle cans. Then for detail work I would sponge on color to the panels (gives it a worn appearance letting the metal shine thru), pick out any conduits and extra details. After that weather by sponging on brown or black wash to your taste. That should be a pretty fast method, keep it simple and you can produce a good uniform color across them.
@@ExcaliburHobbies great. Thanks to you. Do you know the paint sheme for an Vault in an good condition?
FYI, Modif has said they use no release agent.
I was curious what metallic primer you used
Army Painter Platemail Metal
Btw i think the fog crawler is supposed to be a spearing mantis shrimp thus the mirelurk category
mirelurks are one of my favorite thing in all of fallout and I might pick up the kit for wasteland warfare so this will really help me if I do
Great video, would you be so kind and focus camera on the model otherwise is all blurry and we can't see the best parts.
Yeah I need to disable the auto focus and work in a single area more
Something wrong with the camera focus?
The autofocus on this model is terrible, need to set it up for a static shot instead
Are you able to get the shininess of these contrast paints to dull down with matte varnish?
Yes I find a coat of Testors Dullcoat knocks it down nicely
Very nice. This bus plus an awning over the door would make a good settlement piece. I would like the option for wheels just to drive it around the battlefield.
The big truck/trailer has unract wheels that could be used as replacements if you cut these out but it does take some cutting to remove the fixed wheels
Great content as always!👍🏽☢️
How long did it take to print this lot? How much resin did you use? Like your videos but please improve zoom and focus :)
Total was less then 1Kg worth of Resin (the larger parts are pre supported) over like 2 days? (printing off and on as I had time) I have a larger (10.1:) print bed on my resin machine so wasn't that many beds after doing the larger parts . Yeah the zoom/focus is something I struggle with still I'm tempted to just kill the auto focus and manually set things.
Is there an option for having tires?
No but as they are seperate you can replace with alternatives say from thingiverse
Does the head come separate from the PA?
No the head on this one is part of the body, only the arms are seperate.
AHH you stopped right at the place I'm trying to figure out, attaching it to the base it has those little round clear pieces that are on the same sprue as the flight stands that make no sense to me how to use (LC01)
Those parts are not needed for the riders as they have a rounded slot to fit the stand. They are for other kits with flat sections you glue the small part to so the rounded end of the stand fits into it.
@@ExcaliburHobbies thanks the instructions show them so I was confused
Glad someone is doing more videos on wasteland warfare minis!
Awesome!😊👍🏽☢️
Dont give color? This suckZ, Ugly white toys for 40$
The whole point of them is to paint them
🔥🔥🔥
Awesome video! A little disappointed with the handy pack. Would of liked a plasma gun for gutsy and a raised star. Oh well🤷🏽
Your cats wants in your room i can hear them.
She was at my feet wanting on my lap lol
What is you bets method of removing all the real thin flash from these models? I scrape with hobby knife and GW tool then scrub with a toothbrush and still have more that is difficult to remove. I thought of maybe using my sonic cleaner on the parts be fore i assemble them.
I usually just remive them with a hobby knife after cleaning in warm water, any that survive the cleaning come off easily.
You deserve a comment. Hope you're enjoying life and good luck with your channel.
Thanks!
Whoa, Swan is amazing! Terrifying for first time FO players, who just come up on him! edit: what magazines are you talking about?
There are two booklets released so far with this wave, one is the commonwealth wave rules and cards, the other is Astounding Tales which has a bunch of scenarios
@@ExcaliburHobbies ty, I found them. Was wondering if there was an actual FO magazine merch. Just fan made for now.
Looks great!
Do they actually pronounce it Kaiser in game?
Yep he calls himself by that pronunciation
The base commentary is spot on!
Awesome!☢️👍🏽
Nicely done! The color choice to make the gold parts was on point. One question, do you dilute your paints?
Standard paints I dilute with water, when I am working with contrast I will thin with contrast medium if I want to tone them down like say worn jeans.
@@ExcaliburHobbies Ohh I see, thanks a lot for the answer! I'll look for contrast medium when I go get my contrast paints.
is the stature poseable before you glued it or no?
You could change the position of the arms, head, and waist by trimming the inserts but the legs need to line up on the base 1 way
Greetings from CDMX! 🇲🇽
They seem to be going all STL at Modephius. Don't blame 'em, the economics of casting and selling big pieces is not good from what I hear.
Thats a beaut!
All hail Joe Bob Grunt!
Dude! Idk why I haven’t been getting notifications on my UA-cam app about new uploads on your channel. I unsubscribed and subbed again. That seemed to fix it. I’m glad your back at it again. Awesome job on the rust effects!☢️🤟🏽
Thanks!
Thats an interesting medium for rust. I definitely need to print one of those trucks. Nice work!
Holy heck, that rust paint is fantastic!!!
Ryan!!! 😊☢️🤟🏽
Its ashame they dont make more for sale of this model😑
They are working on another round of him last I heard, so fingers crossed!
@@ExcaliburHobbies I hope so lol
It's ready to buy right now - 39 units last i checked. At Modiphius US online store!!
@@cyphro36 any chance they do it again?
@@liberadoresdesangre7914 not sure. US sold out pretty quickly. Maybe UK? But heavy shipping costs.
Carrington is such a twat, yet I’d still have his model in my room if I could paint it as beautifully as you!
any tips on how to print the tank turret? mine keeps failing.
FDM or resin, also is this the official stl or thingiverse?
Awesome! Can't wait until my new boxes arrive - come on UPS!
