Great eating fish. Problem is most fishermen don't know how to clean them. You can get lots of boneless meat if you learn to cut around the Y bones. It takes some practice, but it is certainly worth it. My dad was a commercial fisherman on the Mississippi.

It’s a shame seeing what happens when people just throw stuff in the water. I came across these 2 waterfowl, not sure what type, today in my kayak and they were so tangled up in a fishing line someone just left and trying to get out that they got a bunch of weeds caught on the fishing line too. The worst part was that the fishing line/birds trying to get away from it basically severed part of their legs off. Half of their legs were just detached. Hopefully they live but yeah, have to agree with you when you say stop littering

i need to try this i just get a buffalo on trotline every once in awhile and i like to use them for catfish bait they love them. i like them because on good sized ones i can bait like 600-1000 hooks with it lol.
