My spark was rhythm x 22. Watching them peform and do all the visuals really changed my life

This is an amazingly well-made video. My Spark was watching George Mason and Rhythm X in 2019.

There are no words Seavine! Just sitting here with tears in my eyes, totally speechless. Please continue to tell this story. From a spark to raging flame! I watched this spark ignite to my child this past spring. He is forever changed. Cymbals and his DCI experience have opened a lot of doors for him this fall at school. Well done! Well done! My spark was watching the RXP in the lot in 2014. I feel like a lot of really iconic unloads/reloads were seen for the first time that season. Seavine + SABIAN = a match made in heaven 😇

As someone who saw this show live several times and just recently saw the 2024 DCI finals, I feel comfortable saying drum corp is going toward the direction of theatrical art as opposed to its typical rigid clean cut and dry “who’s got the hardest and cleanest show” I know that it’s been happening for a while and change takes time, I’ve just noticed a clear difference in sound quality between the top 3 corps from the past few years compared to 5-6 years ago. If you disagree I’d like to talk about it in the comments and what you think is really the defining characteristic of “new age” DCI.

Must have been nice having the hand pads! I had to raw dog it! Kids these days. Where yall late to practice too? I was susposed to be snair my freshman year... Well I missed pratice playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 🤣 Busted down to cymbals, kid that took my place ended up being the cool kid and is now a dj... I'm sitting on my couch unemployed... once a cymbal monkey always a cymbal monkey... ping ping ping... Also be careful how hard you dampen the cymbals on your chest... no one told me it would destroy some chest muscles while building others lol. Dang embarrassing having to be the ride cymbal to they guy that replaced me. Still bothers me... im 38.
