This is an incredible performance for a youth orchestra! Bravo! I'm guessing that Highland High School is a feeder school for any of the great music schools in the US. Congratulations.

No one told me about them. I just started going to orchestra concerts a few years ago and stumbled upon them. I wish I had made the discovery a long time ago.

Hello Ali L. I would be interested to know the brand and model # of the device you used to record this. I posted this performance on my jertunes channel. I was in the front row and so the video isn't real smooth as I try to pan but I think you would enjoy the difference in audio because of the proximity to the orchestra. Also, check out "The Cowboys Overture" from a year ago.

Thanks. I think I actually used my Canon DSLR camera to record this. Not as small, but it does the job (when I remember to focus the lens). :) If you enjoyed the other concerts, you should go to one of the Holiday concert nights in December (12/6 and 12/7). It's always amazing. As the concert gets closer, tickets go on sale ($5 ea) through the school.

This is great. I attended my first HHS concert last spring and then their fall debut concert just recently. I would like to know if this was recorded on an iphone or an android. The sound quality is impressive for a little hand-held device.

It always helps to take the lens cap off and focus the camera before starting. ;) Sorry! They sounded amazing, though!
