Acre Dogs is a mission driven lifestyle brand for those who view dogs as sacred family members and trusted friends. No less. Based on the work of Rachael Watt and Claudia Ramirez and in support of Acre Animal Rescue, our brand commitment is to elevate the lives of dogs and the humans they rescue.
We directly support and manage our partner Non Profit Organization Acre Animal Rescue with a significant portion of all sales directly donated to the foundation. This allows us to rescue street dogs, provide medical care and facilitate adoption to new forever homes. We also host free spay and neuter clinics for locals in our community of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.

On March 5th and 6th, 2024 we hosted the 3rd Annual Spay & Neuter Clinic. Our goal this year was to spay and neuter 100 dogs in our community of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. A few of the registered puppies were too young, so we ALMOST did 100. But we're just getting started, and we're already planning the next event in Fall 2024 where we will try to up our game to do 200 dogs in 2 days!
One big issue in Mexico, like many places in the world, is that family pets are free to roam the streets, mingling with the millions of stray dogs. This contributes to an abundance of abandoned mama dogs and their litters of puppies. They are prone to diseases and starvation and therefor there's a lot of animal suffering. Step by step, we believe it's possible to eradicate this issue over time. We praise the many individuals and groups in our community doing their part to walk towards that goal.
Thank you to Dr. Jorge Bravo and his team of 9 veterinarians who made this possible. Dr. Bravo regularly provides care to our Acre Dogs, volunteering much of his time and expertise at little or no cost at Centro Veterinario San José: centroveterinariosanjose/
Another thanks to the approximately 30 volunteers who gave their time, several of whom spent money to travel from Canada and the USA. We also had many donors help fundraise the $10,000 USD needed to pull this off. Thank you so much for your generous support!

8 Puppies Rescued from Under Concrete Slab

Underneath this 2000 pound slab of concrete were 8 little puppies. We managed to get them all out and brought the litter plus their momma to Acre. Rachael put herself in a dangerous spot. You can hear her asking that nobody walk on top as dust and debris started falling on her. Sometimes we don't have time to think about it too much. It's always worth it in the end. I' v never seen such cruelty so so soul destroying,to see dogs in such a state of despaire. What is the solution. Can't they dress the strays,cats + dogs. 😢❤ poor soul.hope he experiences some kind ness +forever home. Preciouse❤ wee man.
There are many people working on solutions but it doesn't happen overnight. We host free spay and neuter clinics in our community of San Jose del Cabo. Even beloved pets are left free to roam the streets in Mexico and many places in the world. So spay and neuter efforts go a long way to reducing litters to stray mama dogs.
