Good demonstration of showing it actually start a fire 🤡
If u want a smaller version of the Illuminous 5 check out the Battle Horse Knives "Salt Fork" & Im sure you know LT Wright & Dan Coppons ( Battle Horse Knives ) use to partners Co. they owned was "Blind Horse" Knives..
you listed the prices incorrectly
My wool blanket with military poncho liner weighs 5 1/2 pounds and my military MSS intermediate bag with goretex bivy weighs 6 pounds and takes up double the amount of space in my pack. Just in case anyone was curious which option would be best. I haven't tested it yet but I'm pretty sure the wool blanket with woobie will take me down to colder temps and I'm not a huge fan of mummy bags.
The wool blanket and poncho liner will get you down pretty low, depending on the wool blanket. Quality is key here. Let us know what you find.
Where do I find “bush butter”?
I have the Illuminous 5 love it
I have the Illuminous 5 love it
Great build
All of David’s knives are top shelf!
Thanks for a great break down/opening of this BATTLBOX Mission! Great team filming!
I have this knife but without the corkscrew instead i have a Phillips head.great knife , the saw is awesome. Tweezers, toothpick, skinning knife too.
I was sold with the saw!
Couldn't see anything in the pack , have you considered adding a second Camara for a top down shot?... Works great for a split screen... Crazyrussianhacker just started using that style... Excellent fir close ups ...
Nice, not a fan of duct tape but you got the idea across...
Thanks for the comment. This particular brand of duct tape was very low quality that I had on hand when concepting the idea. Never got around to switching it out to a more robust brand... like T-Rex Tape.
I feel embarrassed for all these videos of the same thing making us spend money so they can make content
Nice
Better yet, make a waterproof and puncture resistant nylon covered, down stuffed sleeping bag, with the inside lined in buttery soft Merino wool.
Amazon Sells Seamless Stainless-Steel Rings
I like it. Thanks for showing it.
Anyone know if the Silverfire Dragon Pot will work on a StoveTec rocket stove?
It should.
Both make good bodybags. 😆
It's true that the wool blanket, obviously they keep you warm
Where would I buy some Bush Butter? I cant find anything online for Wood Tramp gear. Thanks!
No longer produced. Have a few left on the shelf for $20. Contact tony@backwoodsbiker.com
I grew up with Kevin Johnson. Good guy.
Thank you for the video sir, i appreciate your knowledge and experience.
Wow over $400 for that blanket (bidenomics).... I wish i could afford one😂
Hey BB, just came across this video. Todd wasn't on a T.V. show himself.
His blade was.

Can this bow be sighted in to be accurate and consistent out to 50 yards without alot compilation/ hold over etc.
Absolutely!
Can this be deadly & accurate out to 50yards for deer 🦌?
Yes it can...and is. Best crossbow we have ever seen...PERIOD! Highly Recommend.
The sharpening slots, carbide or ceramic, are never the right angle, which makes them useless to me. I don't buy a sharpener for IT to tell ME what angle to set my blades to. That's a backwards relationship. Remember the 10% rule. You need to be 10% smarter than the equipment you use. The square edged carbide pull through slots make a horrid jagged mess of the edge, which then can't keep an edge for long until the carbide damage is fixed. The long strip of ceramic is okay for touching up a small to medium sized knife. Screwdrivers would typically need to be torx or phillips. So about one function on the thing works. It is a waste of space and money. A couple small stones from my sharpening kit are smaller, cheaper and more effective. What I actually take with me is a small double sided stone (ceramic and diamond) in a leather pouch that has green chromium paste rubbed into one side for stropping. If I have a recurve knife, then I'll take a diamond rod and a ceramic rod because flat stones don't work on them.
The v-type carbide sharpeners are real good for removing dings in the edge on beater/damaged knife blades. I find a pocket diamond rod sharpener to work great for general sharpening if the blade is just dull. Of course there are better choices for portable sharpeners, but a V carbide sharpener combined with a diamond rod is very portable and cost effective.
Wool sleep bag had one made my self in the 80s. Like every thing else some wannabe rambo stole it. We tha once did we t long be for it was cool to do
Completely disagree. Pull through v-type sharpening tools, maintenance tools (it doesn't matter what you call them) are universally garbage. The carbide leaves a ragged, weak, dull edge, and the ceramic portion loads almost instantly, so does little to nothing useful. For proof of these statements, see Outdoors55 videos on the subject. You would be so much better off with a small pocket stone, like a Fallkniven DC4, Spyderco DoubleStuf, Worksharp Field sharpening tool, or so many others. These will be about the same size and weight, but so, so much more capable of actually producing a decent edge.
agreed
Nice knife. What is a good edc neck knife?
Worst Knife I've ever owned "MSK-1E"! This thing is so heavy, it's like hauling a crowbar around! Guy's the best knife is the one you have on you, I could not imagine having this thing on my hip, EVER! Tried selling it "Brand New" on several knife boards, finally listed it for $200 and $20 shipping "$449.00 new now". Not one taker! I ended up sending it to a Knife Buddy in Finland to see if he wanted it. NO WAY, he said the same thing, way too heavy to ever carry! So he's going to try to use it for trading towards something more suitable and easier to carry! Sorry guy's, this is a Rambo wanna be boat anchor! Yes, it's NICE, extremely well made, WAY Overpriced, but I could never see myself humping one of these around on my hip! 👎👎👎 !
Can't argue about the weight. His most recent models address that weight issue.
Recently picked up the new TI geopress, I love it! Goes everywhere I go. The only thing I like better about the ultra press is the design of the bail handle on top.
I love it!!
I love my Pendleton wool blanket. I sleep better wrapped up in that on my bed than fighting with sheets and comforters all night long. Plus, there's something oddly soothing about rubbing my feet against the wool.
TPS M6 extractors failed after 6 410 slugs, and this is after I changed to a modified choke!
I was advised it needed a modified choke to fire slugs. I bought and installed one. I shot 6 410 slugs through it, now the ejectors don't work! WTF
.38/.357 on top.Yeah Baby and a 22 adapter.
At your suggestion I purchased one and could NOT be more pleased. The Silverfire folks could not have been better to work with and ordering was easy and delivery at rocket speed. Awesome piece of kit!
Still our #1 rated bush stove we have reviewed to this date... 7 years in a row!
Great video. May we got one for the frontier blanket too? The point blanket
I already dropped out at the beginning where you came riding through the woods on a MOTORCYCLE. A real tough guy does that on foot!!! Even if only to maintain peace for all the animals that live in the forest.
You use it as grill for water bottle to sit on
I have a lot of fallen trees and I can't find them anywhere fatWood
Any resin impregnated species will yield fatwood, but it's the pine family that is the king. Cedar will also provide some fatwood.
@@backwoodsbiker4311 Thanks
Nice
