nguyenuckien2767 It's disappointing to hear that from you. From the beginning, I've provided everyone with all the materials for free, excluding the final script. This decision was made to prevent people from simply taking the script, rendering it again, and using it for their demo reel without really learning anything. By doing it this way, you have the opportunity to enhance your own skills. When people see that shot in your reel, they'll know you created it yourself.

There are many ways, in this shot what I did is, grade the CG shadows to look as much close as possible, then you always have those kind of overlaping between the CG and the real, you can do prep over that, and paint the union of the shadows to blend it toguether. In my channel you have another video with another tool (aeShadow) that it help to do this, with another method

There is no specific reason why I didn't choose to work directly with ACES. As you said, it's an industry standard, but not all studios use it. Some studios have their own color science in their pipeline to manage their assets. However, the work of a compositor is exactly the same whether you're working with ACES or not. The only difference is the output. Working in ACES is much more flexible for adapting films to future color spaces. In most cases, color spaces are almost invisible to the compositor in projects. Anyway, in the next one it will be in ACES :) Regarding your other question, I'm sorry to say that this is not a course where I explain step-by-step everything I’ve done, as I focus on explaining things that are out of the ordinary and problems you would face with these shots in a real-world scenario. In a studio, the compositor wouldn't be in charge of doing the matte painting, but since I did it, I wanted to explain a bit of the process and why I approached it this way.

@@AitorEcheveste Thank you for the kind reply! From working in ACES and sRGB the quality of the image feels much superior when working in ACES. Not sure why that is but when in sRGB whites are clipping and the range of luminance values / colours the gamut is able to express is much more limited. Even with those limitations you were able to produce a really awesome looking end result, which just shows how good you are at what you do. I understand that the course does not cover the matte painting portion in detail. Do you have any resources you recommend for learning matte painting? Curious how you practiced it, and how you reached your level. I will probably buy the course just for the compositing parts, but I also really want to learn more about DMP to expand my skills.
