Your instructions are great but I don't understand why you cut into the battery, or why you soldered wires directly to it. I was able to crack open the battery very carefully, and another guys video showed him threading screws into the little pads. This method mixed with your video worked like a champ.

I can't connect the CP2112 to any of my batteries, including the working ones (fully charged and flight capable). I always get the can't read smbus 0x00, no matter what I try. The CP2112 is recognized by the PC. But somehow it doesn't connect to any of the batteries. Am I missing something? Or is this CP2112 faulty?

Given my HL KV2 left track was de- tracking, I had to increase torsion on only the one spring roller right before the sprocket to keep the chain tight and controlling the track to engage the rear drive sprocket .

Found a solution that does not require manually charging the cells. If unable to read chip due to low voltage, just connect a 9V battery to + and GND. This will power the electronics enough to allow deleting flags.

Mine says error when i hit connect. Am I doing something wrong???

Great tutorial. Thanks. As mentioned in comments, I opened the battery case easily and it kept the whole thing as new once closed back. My batteries were dead low. I had to charge them for a long time (I went ended up charging up to 12.5v to be able to do the soft update. I did the soft update with the DJI GO 4 app instead of DJI Assistant. That unlocked my batteries as well as unsealed them at once. I still went through the DJI Battery killer process at the end to be sure. Now all 3 are all good as new. You rock DSJay!!!

Superb video, and DJI really rip you a hole with these small batteries costing $140 in Australia , a decent power tool battery 4 x the size is cheaper than that!

Great mod thank you.I did this on my abrams and its floating now just keep the rear roadwheel springs strong as the motors are will be too heavy for this mod (metal ones are anyway)
