It really is something to let Charlotte Gainsbourg play the lead role again so we think back on her astonishing performance in Antichrist. Mayby Antichrist and Nymphomania are not that unrelated...
You wanna know the craziest part of all of that? Gainsbourg has said that she has never suffered from depression or anxiety, but she portrayed the suffering PERFECTLY.
Charlotte Gainsbourg has such a beautiful presence to her, even as she portrays these very dark and heavy roles💘 As for the films being connected, I do believe that maybe, just maybe Nymphomaniac is a prequel to Antichrist. After she shoots Skarsgard’s Character, she could’ve returned to Defoe’s character seeking solace. Whose to say Defoe’s small role wasn’t the same one that we see in Antichrist?

Les Miserables. A depressing movie about the senlessness of life; no aims, nowhere to go, nothing to expect. People just exist aimlessly and their demise is futile, degrading. essentially she wasted the old guy who betrayed her trust wanting to abuse her telling her what a valueless and despised being she is. she knew that, but wanted to rise out of her dirty past , and Seligman was about pushing her back to dirt shoving his wrinkled old etcetera into her face. the best of these moves was this song. I fell in a three day depression. Never going to watch it again, and discourage everybody from it!

Takara Brink I was frightend! The music started so surprinsingly! A great masterpiece. I am trying to manage to watch Vol.1 and Vol.2 right after another! That would be a great experience I think ;-)
