when i was a young fella i jumped off that bridge over the other side and got stuck in the sand and nearly drowned:) true story back in years gone at trout opening day it used to be a great trout fishery. its unfathomable back in my days you can catch cod there. maybe global warming is real

Getting ready for tomorrow

RIpper brown, and congrats on the PB! I have not gotten a brown for a while. My usual spot is full of big rainbows. Been having a ripper opening myself. The cool weather and overcast/rain has kept the trout around Canberra interested more than they usually are at this time of year. Had 3 trips with at least half a dozen rainbows on every one of them. Saw probably 20 fish yesterday, got 8 high 30s to 48 cm.

Well done. The spillway is now to closed to all fishing. Signs up everywhere threatening big fines if caught. I can only think the amount of rubbish has caused council to ban fishing. Very sad.
