Great video! And great macro guide, one thing I want to mention is that smaller cost items 500s could be really usefully to increase your power once you start getting flex slots compared to saving for the big items, cause at the end there you had 3/4 empty flex slots.

A solid overview of more macro topics like when to fight or what to do, but in my opinion a lacking display of micro decisions. Lots of afflictions in the early game gave very little value and a large reliance on your escape tools for damage left you in situations that were potentially punishable, especially if the other lanes had actually decided to roam. I also dislike your stance on teamfights, pockets ult lends itself to initiating the fight, escaping, then coming back when its duration is running out to actually clean up the fight

Solid video! I agree with a lot of your decision making. One thing for pocket specifically: if you hit 3 or 4 barrage stacks you can be a little more aggressive thanks to the damage amp. If 2 or less hit, it’s okay to play passive. I think you could have locked down a few more kills than you did with just a bit more aggression knowing when it’s okay to dive. I’d also recommend when you’re chasing that you satchel before you TP to cloak more often, so that the satchel burst happens immediately when you teleport and you can focus on unloading shotgun into them. Your TP into then pressing satchel and popping it looks a little slow and clumsy sometimes. IMO the miscommunication on mid boss versus guardians was a misplay, mid boss is the more valuable play there. Solid VOD review, thanks for sharing!

Hi new pocket main here do you reccommend going unstoppable or ethereal shift when the enemy is severely locking in on you with silencer, silencing bullets, geist 2 and other silencing abilities

I may have been following builds wrong, I try to get every 500/1250 item listed then start getting more picky with the 3k+ items but I see you just choose which ones to go with on the fly. Also all the unspent skillpoints driving me crazy lol

Commentaries like this are much better than those "guides" that only show a winning game without anything.

Realizing Pocket is not a brawler is how I got my winrate with them to be above 50%. Pocket is an opener and a closer, no in between. Sure, if you're 10k ahead of the enemy you can do anything you want, but in an even game, or even a losing game, the ideal engagement with Pocket is to swoop in and hit 2 or 3 with your ult, and dive back to safety, then your team moves in. After healthbars and cooldowns are depleted, you swoop in again, just in time majleap is off cooldown, and pick off the weak ones. Itemization is also important as Pocket can be a counter to a lot of annoying heroes in the game.

15:18 when you talk about playing more to get a good feel for how much damage you do, and you're right, experience can help here. But this is a scenario where watching other people's vods and seeing how much damage they are doing with similar power level compared to their opponent. It's important to know what is possible.

is there like a guide on which item to replace getting into late game? I'm not sure what times to keep that I buy during mid game. I sell warp stone for more damage when I feel I don't need mobility, but I think I should hold on to soul shredder bullets but maybe sell mysthic shot/kinetic dash for other items. I also sell boots later in the game too but i don't exactly know what to replace

how do you play from behind when they have 1 or 2 slowing hexes? i think snowballing like this is all about being solid

Players like you legitimately scare me. Assessing every move their opponent makes. Analyzing how good you are and pushing right from the getgo. I mean I respect it, I'm just not at that level. I'm very happy my duo partner will just have random, unpredictable monkey moments of rushing in and hitting 5 headshots in a row, clearing out the lane for some time. Let me start by saying this is the best educational channel on deadlock I've seen so far, amazing content and your decision-making skills are great, love hearing the explaining and reasoning behind all the decisions as my moba skills still aren't the sharpest, if I may give a little bit of criticism though on the gameplay, it seems like movement is your more lacking skill in deadlock, sliding especially early before leap would help you get a lot extra movement speed/free shots in, sliding on enemy steps while shooting their turret also would let you get a free 4-5ish bullets before having to reload. I also don't know when this vod is from so I don't know if wall jumping was in the game yet but a quick wall jump in your rotates for example at 25:21 could let you keep your height and rotate much faster. Overall though amazing gameplay and great character knowledge, love the content!
