I'm thinking the "afterlife" is similar to Eben Alexander's explanation: that the AL is composed of hyper-real structures, replete with HR colors, sounds, and unfathomable mysteries which when contemplated and plumbed yield such deep satisfaction that the soul is filled with immeasurable joy and catapulted into ever increasing, ever accelerating consciousness to a point of unbearable blessedness, holiness and sanctification. One is then merged with the Tree of Life.
