Bernie - The Necrochicken

this is bernie's first music video. it is set to the music of the grim black metal track "the necrochicken". it brings to mind a grim, bleak forest in the middle of a frostbitten winter. this video was uploaded to google video in 2005 and is only now resurfacing..... One of the best tracks from Daniel Lanois' 2005 album, Belladonna. I don't own this music - will be removed upon request or demand from the musician/record company Enjoy...

Often see comments regarding Basho's guitar playing as "virtuoso" and such. Can somebody please explain the rationale for that take? I'm just not hearing it.
💔
Apologies for the long silence added to the end of the track 13 years ago
I love this too, but the only AMT song I can get humans to listen to is Chinese Flying Saucer.
C Majestueux in the morning
Feeling a little unwell with Covid. Lying down with the sun on my face listening to a mix of Robbie Basho through my Bluetooth hearing aids. I was suddenly elevated to another space and my soul has now been fed. In my semi conscious state I don’t think I have had music enter me so powerfully on a whole before .Just blew me away
I started listening to Blue Crystal Fire, which led to Night way then Moving up a ways. Finishing on this Wounded Knee. If you want to feel transformed immense yourself in these songs. Probably the best I’ve ever heard.
Gives you goosebumps ay? @@nevillegriffiths4395
@@nevillegriffiths4395Bless you.
YEEEEESS… PERal..
..Love John Fahey...
Damn, Uchu. This is some crazy shit!
This is one of the greatest songs of all time!
I am my town's resident bubble guy. I was just out in the street in the middle of town casting Buick sized bubbles, smoking the huge joint my dad gave me and the algorithm decided to grace me with this lovely, meandering song. What a perfect tune for making giant bubbles in the middle of the night... baked.
ほんとうに すばらしいですね ⚘
本当にありがとうございます! Kurikokeleidoscopeの音楽も、もうすぐ聞いてみるつもりです! 😁
i heard this while smoking pot and it made me think about trains. But there arent any trains in the song.
Yes
YEEEES PERAL..
Amazing!
Hey piva
this one hits hard
Eternal Reoccurrence 🌿❤️ Here is my mark. Where there is passion, I will be there.
wounded ass
No mere troubador.Ancient souls , their voices ,find a portal in Basho.
so beautiful thank you ..
No, thank YOU, Eyed Argus..
Daniel sure can make a guitar sing. This is definitely one of my most favorite songs by him
Anyone here because of the Skater destroying the Leapfrog console video
Just watched the documentary about him. I stumbled on Basho some years ago, heard I think five or six albums in total. But he had over a dozen?! Like fourteen or some other prolific number. Some people say it's a shame he died so young. Well, he composed more than a lifetime's worth of music, so it's not like he wasted any time in that regard. What is sad, however, were his infrequent expressions of severe loneliness he would occasionally share with some of his students. I think we all can say his music would have soared to new heights had he found the woman of his dreams. I think it goes to show that while art is certainly an important part of life, it isn't the end all. (I should really take my own advice here.) The world did not deprive him of any love. He deprived himself. I say this with absolute respect and adoration, of course. The man has affected me in such a way no other artist of any medium ever has before. It just breaks my heart is all.
I find it very depressing how little to no one has heard of him, a silent hero like Paul Kossoff and Danny Kirwan
Do you know what the documentary is called? I need to watch it.
@@deinVater9983 Voice of the Eagle: the Enigma of Robbie Basho
@@bryceallen7986 I looked it up and I can't find where to watch it. Where did you watch it?
@@deinVater9983 I got a copy of it on ebay. It was a library copy but I kept the sticker on it because it was from the baltimore county library which is where he grew up
Brilliant
The mighty Precious James from obscurity the most underrated singer and composure...
grande canzone!!!!
One of his best songs honestly. Surprised it doesn’t have as many views as some of his stuff.
Mesmerizing, reminds me of "the incredible string band " in style ? Not for most ,yet so much for some . I think the most are afraid !
Amazing voice. Taken too soon.
Beatiful but sad😪😪
heartbreakingly beautiful song
This might be the single best piece of music I’ve ever heard
Majestic.
Anyone know which language he's singing in this song, and how to translate it? Much love fellow Bashovians.
It’s almost certainly a Lakota dialect given the subject matter.
Those lyrics are in the liner notes to the album this is from also if you just google Robbie Basho Wounded Knee lyrics there’s plenty of results for the full lyrics to this song. Hope that helps.
@@swagalicious34 for some reason all the lyrics websites give "Walking in the Wind and the Driving Rain In my Heart is an Aching Pain" but it's just a translation, not what we're hearing
@@gwenhdalhnot sure what you mean sorry? I think Robbie himself did the liner notes for the album.
I can't find the liner notes or the lyrics anywhere@@swagalicious34
Good,
Does anyone know the lyrics from 0:37 - 0:48 looking to see what language it is and what he is saying
I've been searching for that too, George. I'm going to assume it's Native American, to fit the theme of the song? I have no clue, though. Lemme know if you've found anything. I would love to understand all the layers of Basho's music.
@@gray9877 It is a Native American language, which one I don't know. He sings it in english once in the Rainbow Thunder version of it!
@@georgeharper7676 very cool. Would love to learn which specific language it is for sure, just for kicks. Robbie is one helluvan artist.
@@gray9877 Learn Tuvan, just as good. Use Mango languages. Also, take a look at a band called Alash. I recommend the song Oglumga, gimme about n hour or so n I'll fetch you the lyrics. Believe it or not, every sound you hear (bar instruments) comes from their throat.
@@georgeharper7676 I would say its almost certainly one of the Lakota (Sioux) Dialects considering the subject matter?
Great xeuhl
I had the pleasure of seeing him live, open for Dave Matthews Band on 4 occasions. Same tour, only the florida shows. It was absolutely surreal.
I would of split before Dave Matthew’s got on the stage he’s terrible.
dare i say greatest song of all time??
Dare you may, and I completely agree.
Yeeees
god , what an amazing voice , never mind the guitar..
Sublime (y)
