great review series of zd3 + discrete opamps! Can you make a final comparison - zd3 in stock vs. zd3 with v7 vivid and 12v Ultra-low noise linear power supply, it would be very interesting to know what this dac can do!

i still think shanling and ibasso make the best DAPs soundwise, but they seriously suck at software & features. Whereas, Hiby and Fiio make the best all rounder type utility DAPS with very good software features and UI but sound very boring.

I own the DX180, but while the sound is good and detailed i feel it lacks something compared to my Hifiman Serenade desktop unit. With Arya Organic i hear a lot less soundstage on the DX 180 (in some well recorded songs i feel like i'm in a recording studio, while on the Serenade it's like being in a concert hall). DX 180 is also less punchy and with less instrument separation. I'm trying to decide wheter to upgrade the DX 180 to the DX340 because i want a stunning portable unit. For me soundstage is really important. Is the DX340 so much better in that regard? Do you mind spending some more words on comparison bettween these two Ibasso units? Thank you!

No matter how many upgrades & improvements of the leatest & greatest ibasso dac amp dongle will be in the coming future but the dc elite will remain my lifetime best dongle dac.. wven if I can afford to buy the latest & greatest release of ibasso dongle dac amp still dc elite is the best for me

There's a mistake on the sticker. On the iBasso site and others its FPGA - Master 3.0 yet on this sticker its 2.0 I wonder has this been corrercted yet?

All dac sounded the same? wtf said that?. Elite's lover...,btw It's out there bra new cousin..same looks but with thermionic valves inside..yup 2 of those Imagine in the size of dcElite..the cycle of tech are multiplying bra quicker then u think..For me the best fm ibasso Still dx320Max..Peace2!

So apparently, iBasso released a FW right after I filmed my review. Mango Player on Android does feel smoother when scrolling album art. So kudos to iBasso.

Just ordered one, should arrive in few days. Already have the DC-Elite which I really like. I hope this Nunchaku not to sound anything like DC-Elite, so they could compliment each other.

Hello! How many bands of PEQ does DX340 have?

Of course we all hear differently but I do not agree on the laid back assessment regarding the DX340. IMO, it is a very natural sounding dap with extremely good dynamics and quality. I find the screen fast and responsive in both OS's. I would do a factory reset if you are having an issue. Also there is new firmware out for the DX340.

Really great review. I think ill save up some money to add these to my collection. However one thing that I wished you would have mentioned is how well can this set pick up small details in the music? Other than that good review. Ill pick up one for sure.

I assume that proper paring with IEMs for both the DC-Elite and Nunchaku are critical to get the best sound. From what you've experienced so far, it appears that a resolving, slightly bright, and forward sounding IEM is an ideal match. Hope to hear some recommendations from you in your in-depth review.

Does anyone know if this has a place to hold the USB transmitter? I tend to lose those things if I can't keep them with the board..

I have these V7 vivid in a Topping amp, and its a clear a day difference...I put it on par with a Sparkos 3602 after burn in. Clear, more detail and better high end without crossing the line into sibilance (its close, but just stay below hitting it)

If possible, in your upcoming review please cover the topic of whether Nunchaku catches any interference or produces noise while connected to a phone using WiFi or cellular network. It is a portable device after all, but I heard that similar products suffer from wireless network interference and it might be a huge factor for many!

i have the black one with hall effect, works perfectly with Nintendo Switch and Windows 11, since it's resistant to stick drift i would totally recommend

For me thr best is still W4, if you don't have hard to drive headphones. Great sound, many features, DSD512 native playback and very little power consumption.Amazing synergy with The Composer.

Hi question, when I first plugged in the dac, does the dac automatically just turns on? I’m used to just plugging things and powering it on myself, is this normal for the product?

On DX260 the buttons are extremely sensitive, if you touch any button while trying to hold it, it presses and skips 5-6 songs in a second. Is it the same on DX340 ?!

I bought the DX180. On the cons, I would add a mediocre bluetooth range with out of dated spec (5.0 uni-directional) + some OS bugs. Tidal application is auto-rotating all the time even with auto rotate set to false, no way to remove/disable Mango, some icons in the system drop down menu highlighted both for true/false, ...

Good 'opening' video. Can you speak on the volume knob: How firm is the rational feel, is there any wobble if the knob is rocked back and forth and lastly, is this control wheel the type that you need to turn it several times/rotations to for eg. to increase the volume by 3db. Thanks.

Can you tell me how you adjust your DX180 to listen to Lossless music on the Apple Music App? I really want to listen to hi-res music and hopefully be able to buy/save on a card. I'm listening to this video with a ZD3 and ZA3 connected via XLR on Neumi BS5 speakers and a Klipsch R-120SW subwoofer. The Op Amps are the stock ones that come with the units. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be able to hear a difference with a setup like mine🥲 EDIT: I can really hear it in the guitar! My ears aren't that bad yet I guess
