Great Review my friend! The DX180 is the prettiest dap I've ever seen, good to know that it is also a very good performing device. This might as well be my next dap, I love the knob and the overall design, right now Im pretty happy with my Tempotec V6 but honestly the android 8 is really showing its age, hopefully it can support the streaming apps for a little longer but its a great offline player. Any chance you can make a comparison between the DX180 and the V6? thank you

I just got mine and there is a white sheet of foam on top of the pbc. Is that normal or do I have to remove that? I just pushed the switches through the foam since it seemed like whoever tried this keyboard before in its building and shipping process must have done the same(there were little holes in the foam exactly where the pin holes for the switches are. Keyboard works perfectly fine and honesty, it sounds even better in my opinion. I am using Morandi switches and dye-sub pbt keycaps tho. So that might also make the difference in sound. Anyway, I was just curious if I should be concerned about that extra piece of foam that did not come with your keyboard. Please anyone let me know!

The IE600 itself hasn't been good value compared to ChiFi competitors in a while, so having it as your main competitor, doesn't seem like a nice market segment to be in. However, the saving grace of the IE600 to me, is that the single DD allows for a much narrower nozzle than multi-driver IEMs. This makes it the only IEM I've owned that my narrow ass ear canals could stand. Will be interesting to see if the Dragon falls in the same camp. Would you be able to measure the nozzle diameters of it?

I have this keeb with V3 Creamy Blue switches

"first light" is a poor translation, totally wrong in fact. "alba" means "the white" or at most "the white one". albă = white, alba = the white. Alba is usually used as a name for a female person or animal.

I felt A had very narrow soundstage and forward-didn’t like it. I prefer to hear sound more around the edges-I like wider soundstage. I liked C’s warmth. I liked B &C, maybe C a tad more…

HDMI port works well with my Apple TV/Samsung S95D OLED. One weird thing though is if I leave the ZD3 set to HDMI input and I power off the apple TV, the ZD3 will turn the TV back on after a few minutes by itself🤣🤣 so I have to change the input selector to bluetooth or something else before turning off the TV

it sounds so... disappointing in comparison with mu01😢 I was very happy to see the 75% version, but now... I don't even know if it's worth getting this keyboard instead of mu01 for the f-keys

Akko MU01 sounds deeper and better. Looks cleaner too, just a bummer it doesn't have volume knob.

Thanks for a very detailed review. I received my DC-Elite a few weeks ago and I am enjoying it with my Sennheiser IE600 earbuds as well as my Focal Clear MG headphones. A very satisfying sound. I too enjoy the wide soundstage. I use it plugged into my MacBook Air and iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is the nicest addition to my audio DAC/DAP that I have made to date. I am not interested in getting into the desktop audio world and feel like this is exactly the type of setup I can use for a long time. It makes my Apple Hi Resolution music sound great.

Correction: I originally thought the MU02 was tray mounted as it doesn't specify on Akko's site, but actually it's also gasket mounted like the MU01. Check out my full teardown video of the MU02!

Just ordered this keeb but with Cream Blues. Been using my Epomaker SK61 for some time and I've customised it a fair bit adding new stabs etc but the switches are optical Gateron and although they are hot-swappable there isn't really much choice between them all, especially for tactile switches (which are my preferred switch). This seems like a very nice board, even stock!
