Hey daryl, wasn't sure how to contact you but I got your service manuals! Would you believe I actually had the Vega manual in my collection also 😂
Still have the car?
Sold
i pull trailers with mine all the time lol load em heavy
Spun out at the end , prob Jack knifed backing up 😂
If it's ls swapped, what series is it? What transmission and rear end? What reinforcements in framework? I have a lot of questions, I was looking to gsxr1000 swap one of these that is currently a frame dropped lowrider on 13inch daytons
1998 Z28 LS1, 4L60E, S10 4x4 rear axle housing with brackets to bolt to Tracker 4 link, 3:42 gears with 10 bolt posi, Camaro driveshaft. Stock frame with new front replacement crossmember. Long tube Camaro headers modified to clear Tracker steering shaft. Daily driver for 10 years now.
In the video I grind down the long side of a Allen wrench and cut it off to make a tool
It’s at 1:46 into the video
What tool you use for the head bolts
Nice ❤ do you have any problems to fit the trasmision what trasmisión you have ?
4l60E with a 10 bolt 3:42 posi in the rear.
You could do it in 4 low with a manual however he does have a 3:1 tcase and used 2nd gear
Was that low 4? Gives me hope for my 95
That’s it I’m ls swappin the equinox
Looks like he is trying to get his inheritance early.
And that's it? Goodness! That sure is simpler than the instructions!
I did my 3 this way.
Nice work and good ride
Nice ride! Show it at back to the fifties car show.
Thanks, I sold this shortly after posting this Video. It belonged to Fred Lindburg, an engineer at work.
I see you have made the big time on UA-cam😶
I don't know about the big time, lol. Had youtube been a thing 30 years ago, there would have been a lot more. I don't do much riding anymore and I don't take time to video much.
This is crazy!!! But may not work with my 4.24 gears since i have to press it into the shaft 😢
You mean Geo, it's just badged for Chevy
suzuki*
I have a 02 that I plan to do this with. Did you retain all factory guages working?
Yes. My car looks stock inside. Need a 4 cylinder gauge cluster for the tach to work properly
But does the 4x4 work?
its a 2wd
I have owned 7 of the 2004 trackers & still have 4. Like the ZR2 best as much smoother ride.
I own a zr2
This is exactly what Im wanting to build!! Is there a build sheet on how its done?!
I'm thinking about an older iron V8, but yes... how was this done?
That is awesome
What year?
1998 ls1. 2003 tracker
Stock Transmission and 4wheel drive?
4L60 2wd
How's the "stock" radiator? Or did you make up something else? Got a '94 2dr
used the camaro radiator, took some mods to fit.
Thank you for taking the time and making this. I have the same tractor with the same problem and has no idea how to fix it. I really appreciate you making this video. I’m sure there’s so be more people who stumble across this like i did and were very happy with it. Great job and thanks again!
Great video, Thank you for posting this.
Thanks, I'll be installing these gears soon on my 93 Tracker
I like the way he thinks😎
Awesome 4wd or 2wd? How hard was the wiring?
2wd. Posi. Wired it into existing gauges. Had computer flashed
Love it getting ready to straight axle mine over the winter goin leafs tho not smart enough yet to do 3 or 4 link lol!!!
having issue with a 735 control valve. could you help. the release valve [same side you welded] i pull it out and the button at the bottom has no spring. is this correct? not been able to find a diagram. i installed a new pump on tractor and when operating forks it blew the pump, cracked in the center. 7000205 pump busted. i assume check valve is bad or installed wrong. any help. thanks

Do a doc on the dam front pump!!

So you put a geo front end in the rear?
Beauty 😍
Do you have 4wd?
No
I’ve got a 1992 Geo tracker and I want to do a very similar swap. Can we exchange information so I can ask you specific questions about what parts I need for the swap and what type of obstacles I might run into? My plan is to use the entire drive train out of a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. It’s a 4.8 L engine and a 4L 60 E automatic transmission. I’m wondering whether or not the rear end can actually stand up to the power of this motor will make.
Daryl Spaulding i started with a wrecked 1998 Z28. I used a universal motormount kit, used Camaro headers than need to modify last 2 tubes drivers side to clear steering shaft. Made my own trans crossmember. Used Camaro driveshaft. took the p-Trac unit out of the camaro rearend and put it in a S10 4WD rearend that is the same width as a tracker. Transferred brackets from stock rearend so It was a bolt in. Used the stock Rear disc brakes on the S10 axle which also allowed hooking up the parking brake. Modified tank unit to accept the camaro fuel pump and maintain the tracker fuel guage operation and used the regulated fuel filter from the corvette for the fuel return. Modified the radiator mounts to accept the camaro radiator so the cooling capacity was correct. Sent the ECM out to have the security system deleted along with the emmisions so it runs on the front O2 sensors only. Made my own exhaust. Motor placement is crucial staying as close to firewall as possible. I set the engine in the hole resting the pan on a 2x6 piece of wood on the front crossmember. When I had the frame location decided and marked, I took the body off the frame that made all of the fab work easier. I built this 6 years ago and still drive it daily. Just oil changes and brakes. See my other video on this that shows under the hood.
Looking to do the same thing any pointers you can give me

HOW. I must know. I have an 03 & she need this.

@@lorad350 holy cow! Thank you, that was a lot of very useful information. These may be silly questions but Which computer did you send? the trackers or the Camaro’s? Or did you have to use both? Where did you send your computer? The whole brain/ecu part is what confuses me. I know the trackers is locked but I didn’t know it could be flashed.
@@generalmayhem1735 used the camaro computer that I sent to LSTECH to be flashed for no security and no emissions. the tracker computer is removed and all of the harness from it to the motor and trans comes out. The plug that is tied into the body from the computer is where I spliced in all the power and gauges.
Very nice. Did you do the swap yourself?
Yes. Bought a totaled 1998 Z28 and built this about 6 years ago. Still driving it to this day.
That's awesome
thankyou thats my boy!
The pump mounts in the front of the loader frame as is driven by a short shaft from the front of the crankshaft
I've got a 3500 with no loader and I'm looking for one. The 735 is the loader for my machine but it looks a little different than yours because it bolts to the heavy radiator shroud on the 3500. I've never seen one in person. Where does the 735 get hydraulic power from? I don't see a front mounted pump on them anywhere. Thanks!
pump mounts on lower front loader frame and is driven by a shaft off of the front of the crank
