Still have wife’s 2002 accent for almost 20 years now! Our daughter drove it for a bit but It’s just a running around car for us but it costs nothing. Has 201,000 on it. It’s funny, ever since she got it in 2006 it always takes her 2 tries to start..sometimes 3-4 if really cold in the AM. I never thought about the fuel pump. It usually ran pretty good once it got going, but occasionally stalled out if below 1/2 tank of gas . Thanks for the cool video showing this.

350K Miles ? !!!!! Wow !!!!! My 2001 Hyundai Accent GS 1.6L only has 65,000 miles on it ! It was my mother's car and was only driven by her to the grocery store once a week. What are the things that you have had to change or repair in addition to your Accent ?

What is it?

My Hyundai accent 2005 is cranking but not starting. I sprayed starting fluid In the intake and it started up then died again. A new fuel pump and housing like the one here is like 375-600. How can I make sure it’s the fuel pump and not something else. Fuel relay is working, I feel a click. Tried taking out the fuel pump fuse but didnt come out easy with my hands and I didn’t have the right tool.

My 2003 Hyundai accent, is having trouble accelerating from 3rd gear. Do you think that would also be a fuel pump issue? I don’t have a hard time starting the car and I just replaced the spark plugs. Just not sure where to go next

Could you please tell me where the fuel filter is? I did the fuel pump but I cannot find the fuel filter. Is there even one on it

Check fuel pump relay and fuel pump fuse under hood before taking out back seat. The relay should click when turning the key to start. The fuel pump fuse is not actually labelled fuel pump, so difficult to find. There is also a fuel pump test port in fuse box.
