Hey everyone welcome back!! My apologies again to anyone who bought those clippers with the influence of what I said. At the time when I made the previous video the andis master was an absolute beast!! Although, for my clipper, it did not stand the test of time well lol. Did it last until now?
Sounds like they give out after a few months. Seen like 4 ppl with the same issue
Did they make yall do roller sets on the mannequin
I’m in barber school now and I hate it can’t wait for it to be over
hey bro. which wahl blades do I buy?
Im on some oster shit‼️
Great! If you interest for unboxing and affiliate, please let us know.
nice tool!
How are the original blades tho?
They're ok lol depends on what u wanna use it for. For professional use I'd just go straight with the Wahl blades. Test em out tho you might like em. 🙏🏼
Just got these in today...and the the weight of these things make it feel premium.. Hope they last..cause they seem awesome
Still working?
@@i3eastxskill323 yep.. Still going strong.
Still good til now or ?
thankyou bro ive been thinking about getting these bro i appreciate it
For 50 dol i can get kiepe diavel or kiepe prescelta which are gamma boosted and ergo
Super insightful 🇵🇭🙏🏽❤️💯
Glad you like it ☺️
So after school do you immediately start working at a shop?
Whenever you feel comfortable you can start working whenever! ☺️ I got lucky and one of the instructors offered me full time after I finished school.
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 im 28 and was wondering if its worth the investment. Looking for career change. And if it worth it or not. Never cut hair before
Barbering is one of those careers where you can make as much or as little as you want. The grind to collect a huge clientele is difficult and long but the journey to get there is very satisfying. It's also one of those skills where it never leaves you and you'll always have it. What I found is that you really have to love this job to be in it for the long run. Working with the public can be hard at times but it can also be very exciting! Hope this helps!
Yo! Great video Great channel New friend here ✊🏽💯
thank youuuu!
Wait so how long does the whole school process take
It depends on the school, mine was 6 months
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 oh wow really. Yk alot of barbers talk about why barber school is or isnt worth it but most of them never attended. So its cool that your sharing the actual experience of it
@@kale3668 yeah man by the comments Im getting it seems a lot of people are intested in the whole is barberschool worth or not topic, which is awesome!!
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 ya ik right lol😂
26k not much for 3 years of work Be trans link bus driver starting wage is 27 hour and government pay and benefits Electrician make 20 hour just starting 3 years maybe making 35 hour
Yeah its a little more with tips and what not but everyones wage as a barber is different like I said in the video. If you have been working longer with a full clientele then its definetly gonna be more.
hey bro, would you recommend barberschool to someone whos got 0 experience in the field? or should i keep practicing in the garage until i get the hang on fading
Honestly it really just depends on how you like to learn. Me being a hands on learner I needed a way where I could get a lot of reps but also have someone near me helping me and guideing me on what todo, so barberschool seemed perfect. But if your already getting clientele in your garage and your ok with watching tutorials on youtube that way is fine too! I would always recommend going to school for whatever it is you wanna do because its an investment in yourself.
Bruh thank you!
Anytime fam 🙏🏽
Hey kuya andrew can you give mr a shout out this is clyde from iloilo HHAHAHH Keep safe bro
whats the pros and yea some cons of london school
Well at least when I was there... Pros - Tons of hands on work, great teachers, decent amount of testing, great people, director was kind and helpful Cons - Some of the tests I felt like we didn't have to learn but its always good to gain as much knowledge as you can while your there, kinda pricy ($10,000) but still worth it imo, no nappy hair lessons unless you have a nappy hair client. honestly not too many cons you just gotta make the most out of what's given to you.
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 did you pay it all or did you get government grant. yea its so expensive. the alternative is vcc and its not much cheaper but they also do womens hair. im not really into that
@@mchammer3180 took a student loan from my bank, on the Londonschool website it has a run down on the course and you could also message the director for any questions 🙏🏽
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 can you do womens hair? have you done it on clients? isnt it beeter to learn both men and womens hair as your more marketable
@@mchammer3180 I mean techniqually I can lol but id suck at it cause I havent done it since. In the first couple weeks of barberschool you start off with a long hair mannequin and you practive blunt and graduation haircuts and layering and all that. Very breifly tho not as much as the hairdressers
If it doesn’t work out at one shop just go to another shop So many shop in Toronto and Vancouver .
Your lucky you got lot friends to practice on I don’t
What if you don’t have a lot guy friends to practice cutting
Mannequin heads are always an option, but they are expensive
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 I probably have to do lot free cuts at a shop before getting paid job What do people do if they don’t have lot friends to practice on
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 what do people in your class do if they didn’t have lot friends or people they knew who let them practice
@@monchichipower6334 its hard to say tbh, i think people go to seminars, classes and use mannequin heads
You cut your own hair?
I do cut my own hair, when its short at least ahah. rn im growing it out
Did you have to wear a certain clothing or shoes ? What shoes should I get ? I googled it and all it says is black dress shoes
Hey bro sorry i just saw this comment now. Depends on the shop some shops want you to wear clothes that go with the theme of the barbershop, i try to wear black shoes i have all black slip on vans and the classic black and white vans i swear to work the most.
Definetly comfort over everything, your gonna be standing all day might aswell get something that will take care of your feet
Shoulda stuck to band
Just want a stress free chill easy job Don’t need to think and not physical heavy job Pay doesn’t really matter as much as no kids
Barbering can be stressful at times and it can take a toll on you on busy days
I heard also no paid 2 week holiday too. Is it easy to get 2 weeks to 3 weeks off in a year . I enjoy travelling and need time off. Regular jobs have this benefit
Yeah barbering is definitely not like any other regular job ahah no benefits and no holiday pay depending on where you work. That is why when you get into this industry you really have to just enjoy barbering for what it is. Meeting people, talking to people, the creativity aspect all these things you have to really enjoy to when it comes to becoming a barber. I knew I was going to have to sacrifice those things when coming into the industry and I was fine with it.
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 construction got good benefits and holiday weeks paid for but so hard of a job I looked into london barbering. It’s so expensive and it’s part time only too . 10k What’s your thoughts on Blanche McDonald barbering program . It’s 250 hours and 4 k vs London which is 600 hours
@@monchichipower6334 no idea tbh. Dont know much about blance.
only cut hair for 5 hours. that's not a bad part time job
useful video
Did you provide free haircuts to customer on the job for employer . This is after you finished London schooling
No but I was on apprentice price for a short amount of time. My bosses realized I was good enough to be on the regular prices right out of barber school.
@@lyfe_of_drew8601 you find cutting your own hair is good experience? What’s are pros and cons of working in industry I heard no health benefits in this industry ? Say good bye to breaks and lunch break ? Is it true
@@monchichipower6334 ill make a video answering your questions cause these are good question ahaha stay tuned!
where can i do the one day course?
Im sure there are some online courses somewhere. I think Chris bossion one of the top barbers in the industry, in my opinion, has some with his brand tomb 45. Also babyliss most likely has some also!
whats the bad thing / you didnt like about the london barber school then
Hmmm honestly can’t really think of any bad that really came out of barber school cause iv been out for a while now. Although, just like any school it wasn’t perfect so I just tried to see the best out of what the school had to offer! But if you asked me right after i graduated I’m sure I’d be able to list a couple things ahaha
im asian male in his 40s non fade hairccut look usually. i find most barbers tend to be white or black with tattoos look. should i bother or would i have hard time getting hired as a barber. they want someone that fit the archetype clients want
There’s no criteria to be a barber. As long as you can cut hair no ones gonna judge you on the way you look. Of course some people would want certain people to cut their hair cause it makes them feel more comfortable. For example, I get a lot of asian clients cause some of them say when they go to other barbers they “don’t know how to cut asian hair so I have to go to an asian guy”, things like that. That’s why in the barbershop I learned that it’s important to appreciate the clients that would come back! In the end, as long as you can cut hair no one’s gonna question you. Work hard, be kind and you’ll build a great clientele! Hope this helps 🙏🏽
I appreciate this video bro 🙏🏽🔥
Glad you like it!
Hey bro, I saw ur video about barbering school, I live in BC and u said u went to London school which is in Vancouver. I wanna get into barbering but have zero experience on it, would u recommend going into London school to learn barbering, I def wanna get the most out of barbering school and just debating with myself to which school to go to? Would greatly appreciate it if u can reply back to me.
Heyy sorry for the late reply. I know as far as teachers they don't have the same ones there as when I went but for me personally I had a great experience there! At the end of the day it's your choice whether or not you want to go to that specific school or not but from what I went through there I would 10/10 recommend based off experience and hands on work. The director of the school is very kind so if you do want to speak with her give her a call and set up a meeting with her and she can explain what London school is all about :). If you have any more questions DM me on instagram!
U seem super chill love the vid got a sub 🤟
