I ended up getting clear plastic bins with lids and put like weights and colors in each one . For each bin I laid all the yarn in that bin out on my bed and took a picture. Then printed the picture and taped it on the end of the bin so when I stacked them I knew exactly what I had. Also the pictures were saved in an album in my photos so I could pull them up at anytime and go to that bin.

Please don't feel bad! That is not bad at all! I have a yarn room and a storage unit my husband and I call the "yarn barn". LOL! Because when things are on clearance you don't leave them in the store and I make charity blankets so the cheaper the better!

i have the same problem with the lily sugar n cream yarn !! and it gets all over my desk, definitely throws lots of fibers when crocheting with it

This reminds me when I brought home most of my yarn that my grandma gave me. But I don’t have the space to show off my yarn so I bought myself a 27 gallon tote, 2 big suitcases, and some reusable bags for the rest of yarn. I have a tote that has unfinished projects and it’s something I’m planning to work on either the rest of this year and possibly next year. Along with my current projects. So I understand the struggle of organized yarn stash!

You should do color themed videos to tackle that stash! Like "how many blue things can I make in a day/week" I would definitely watch those!!❤ have a nice day

Oh goodness! I had 6 totes before I moved. I donated and didn’t buy hardly anything for a year. I was down to 3 smaller totes but now I have still 3 totes and 2 boxes sitting in my bedroom. We had a yarn crawl last weekend and was really proud of myself for only buying 3 hanks for projects I have planned for. But I really got to just use out of my stash again. The struggle is real.

I’d see if you could frog the bills bear. Yeah I’ve learned that decreasing hook size really does make a difference. I’ve had that issue several times. I only have 3 wips right now and that feels like a lot 😂

for those green granny squares: you should try a 13-square bag! i made a crossbody one and i use it all the time, super simple construction too :)

I have about 5 wipes now. I’m went from 1 to 5 partly because of my adhd. I’m working on long term focus and finishing things. So I work on each project a few minutes a day. Then I get the dopamine of changing to a “new” project. 😂Maybe 10-15 mins per wip. Right now I’ve been super into one project so I’ve spent a little more time on that project but I’m still very interested in the other 4 wips. I also keep my wips next to me on the couch so I can just grab one spontaneously and work on it.

7:27 another good idea is a container for embroidery needles. They work great for the tapestry needles crocheters use and they have a little magnet in them usually that keeps them in place. I swear that is one of the best non-crochet things I’ve bought for crochet

it's interesting because for me, chenille yarns like parfait chunky are overrated. I went through a parfait chunky phase but then realized that I don't really like it all that much partly because of the ripping. I actually been working with Bernat Blanket recently and quite enjoy it. The rest of the parfait chunky might be bound for the knitting machine (if it'll fit.)

Some hobbii yarns like their cotton have easy start tabs that pull just directly from the center with zero yarn barf. It's awesome. I've had other brands that the yarn barf a mini skein. It's like the yarn gave birth.

As a crocheter I would love any of these gifts .
