Art Process For All
Creating a Painting, from Sketch to Final Art
This video covers conceptualization and the art-making process for a painting titled "Trust Anyways". The title is connected to internet websites and emails that feel like a scam, and the painting itself has red flag moments to show the viewer that things are not as realistic as they may seem.
We discuss thumbnail sketches, composition, drawing, how to paint over the drawing, color mixing, and some basic acrylic painting techniques.
The original art is 24x36, acrylic and colored pencil on canvas.

Walkthrough of my painting process, beginning with detailed drawings and adding acrylic paint to complete the project. The two paintings show modern conservative judges mixed in on the action, as well as a more chaotic rendering featuring protestors and rioters....

It's amazing how much the wash and shading give the images so much substance and depth.
Amazing.
Where did you go to school?
Peak song choice for peak art
Just my opinion… people who can draw and paint from imagination are true Artists.
Do you make a mass with watercolour first and the. Go over with ink or make some first lines to establish the shape and then fill in with watercolours and brush over with ink? I’m going back to my sketchbooking after years of digital work and would like to dabble with more mixed media :)
