Hi Ray, dont know the speed and power. This was done a while ago. Speed and power depends on "your laser" power.. Example, if you and I have the same exact machine, 100 watt power. My machine is 5 years old and your laser is new, and i told you im using 80% power and 50% speed. These numbers wont give the same result on your laser. Why? because my laser source has less power than yours.

@@tekneeklasering Thanks for reply. I appreciate your help I do a granite memorial engraving I have 100w laser machine I work with 600 speed and 24 power I have a good result, but your engraving results much better.

Hi a clean honeycomb table reduces back burning. The right laser power also helps.

@@tekneeklasering Thanks for answering, really appreciate that. Will have to do some experimenting then. Client wants big gold name, but we only do small figures, because those can be cut out in-between laser beds rails. (we have rails not honeycomb) As soon as laser touches these rails there`s smoke or fire, because they`re bit dirty and we probably use too much power.

@@MrTTFilms I had that too until i found a great solution. I put an adhesive tape on the back of the sheet, That way the tape get the burn instead of the sheet.

@@tekneeklasering I just tried with non casted acrylic that don't cost so much. The color is only transparent. Can it be that I running wrong value on the laser or is it just crazy acrylic.

@@Lennings82 get a good brand of cast acrylic with a plastic mask ( not paper mask for this test) . Fiddle around with your settings. See how you go

@jrwoodworks9690 you probably need full power and low speed. Hard to say each laser source varies. But you can contact the seller!
