Hello. Avid 'Phantom' disliker here. I've come to make my presence known and tell why I am such. If you consider yourself to be an avid 'Phantom' lover, consider skipping this, cause boy do I have some words to say about this song. The reason I dislike 'Phantom' is not, because it sounds like Kompany or because it's Briddim or because of the dumb 'Passout' sample. That would be so foolish of me to judge undeniable beauty when it's staring me into my eyes (or ears idk). Now the thing that actually bothers me to my core is the horrid snare switches, which aboslutely kill the flow of the song. And the snare doesn't even fit into the song!! Oh that was not all by the way. For some reason after the first section of the first drop, the small background sustains do not play anymore, which makes the song lose some needed mass and makes the song unimpactful. They do get brought back at the end of the first drop in the buildoff, but at the same time we have the snare that does not fit into the song!!!!! The second drop is pretty meh to me. I personally feel like the idea is pretty played out already, but that's just a personal thing. So not that many points taken off because of that. I can see why people love this so much, but I don't. My score: 3.25/10 at max
