CROWN PRINCESS CRUISE - Mexican Riviera - Puerto Vallarta Port Day
First port day in Puerto Vallarta on the Crown Princess Cruise, 10 day Mexican Rivera departing from San Francisco! We got to take a local bus to Zona Romantica, explored mostly by walking the area and to Muella de Playa Los Muertos, and down El Malecon! Definitely had a lot of tacos and ended up taking an Uber back to save some time. We also got to enjoy a bit of the activities on board during our sea days including basketball and a friendly chipping contest in golf :)

What were the pools like? Did u guys swim at all? Did the netted adult pool get filled up?
Hi! We did dip our feet in the regular pool but found the water to be too cold, so instead, we hopped into the hot tub! As for the netted pool in the Sanctuary, I don't recall seeing many people inside. There was more people just lounging on the chairs around the area!

I noticed you said there is an ATM in the casino, do the slot machines take your own cash? Someone said they only work thru the medallion charging your credit card.
Hi! The slot machines do take cash! I was able to put bills in but if you want to cash out, the remaining credit gets put into your casino bank credit (just stored on your account until you tap your medallion on the next machine). In order to cash out your winnings, you have to go to an actual person to cash it out. When we played on the table, we used our medallion to charge to the room (which will charge your credit card at the end of the cruise). Hope this answers your question!

Your first port day in Puerto Vallarta was an incredible adventure! Taking the local bus to Zona Romantica was a fantastic way to dive into the local culture. Exploring the charming streets on foot and visiting iconic spots like Muella de Playa Los Muertos and El Malecon must have been a memorable experience. And those tacos - I bet they were amazing! It’s great to hear you also enjoyed the onboard activities during your sea days. A friendly basketball game and a chipping contest in golf must have been a lot of fun and a perfect way to unwind. You do have to enter through the lockers where the shower area is, so you will definitely see some naked bodies before going into the co-ed area. I have been to quite a few jimjilbangs already, so it wasn't much of a shock for me. But, very interesting experience if it's your first time HAHAH :)
