St. John's Haunted Church 2024

From June 25th to July 1st, 2024 - 11 of our St. John’s youth - alongside 7 youth from Church of the Resurrection, Pleasant Hill and 5 chaperones - embarked on a journey to the beautiful island of Oahu to learn from Native Hawaiian culture and be of service. A slideshow of our High School Youth Group's 2022 pilgrimage to Juneau, Alaska! We were able to partner with youth groups from St. Stephen's Orinda and Resurrection Pleasant Hill for a week of hiking, exploring the incredible landscape, service and reflection at the beautiful Shrine of St. Therese, connecting to and learning from the local Indigenous community, sea kayaking, and more.

Guest speaker Vlad Besprozvany shared with the St. John's congregation stories from his family growing up in Ukraine.
