@@grzesiakart1808 unfortunately not that rare 🤣 there were 2 million of the yellow version printed and I would presume a similar number of the blue from 2016. Check the serial number, the lower the number, the greater the value (when they become rare or cease being legal tender).

If I ever make it back down your way again I’ll buy you a vonu or Fiji bitter ✊😄I went into courts in Sigatoka and it was like stepping back into the seventies with the addition of a few random gardening tools and some machetes 😂

Between £50-£75k, Thomas loves a bargain 🤣 We own the freehold, only 5% of land in Fiji is freehold and it is the only freehold in the South Pacific. We were Dorset for 20+ years, Thomas is a Somerset boy. No to rental accommodation, finish the renovation, hoping to complete the bathroom this week 😁 and then enjoy an early retirement with lots of hiking and fishing 😆

We had an excellent vet in the UK, sadly retired now. I have most of the email chains and contacts. The export companies didn't really do enough, but we had a fixer in Fiji who was excellent in bringing it altogether. www.findyourfeetfiji.com/ It is time consuming and the process starts 6 months in advance of the animals departure. You need to have a departure date and work backwards, as blood tests and vaccines are to the hour within the last week and must be submitted for analysis in certain time windows etc. Chat soon.

Just to add. Our pet exports were the first from the UK 🇬🇧 to Fiji 🇫🇯 since at least 2004. So Fiji made DEFRA change the wording on their forms to match the Biosecurity forms in this country. So, it should be more straightforward for anybody else now 🤣

Yes. Where people have used the waterfalls for millennia, to wash and play, thousands of footsteps in the same place, coupled with the presence of water, erodes the volcanic rock to form "footholds". So rather than single footprints, they are a "thousand footprints in time". 💦 👣

For sure, couldn't agree more. The $6m they spent on another 25yo ferry last week, would have been better spent on refurbishment and mechanical maintenance of their current fleet. The customer experience is pretty abysmal and unfortunately this is the only form of affordable travel between islands for many people here in Fiji 🇫🇯 if tourists watch the video and see the conditions onboard, then they will fly 100 times out of 100 times! Sad really, whilst the fat cats milk all the profit out of the company and offshore 💸

How are they still in operation is beyond me!

Luna is a sweetheart, but progress is now limited so we will have to wait and see - a lot rests on her now. She is a fighter and such a character but unsure how much she gets from life now 😭 where there is will, there's a way, so we aim to stay positive 😔

Thank you Kay, it has been a heartbreaking experience with this poor pup. Daniela puts so much effort into caring for and improving her quality of life. Time will tell, but we both want the best for her. She is incredibly sweet. How much she senses and understands is anybodies guess though ❤

Hi Paula, Thomas here - glad you are getting something out of the vlogs, I certainly enjoy making them when I get time. Yeah, previous occupations were nothing out of this world (not tycoons or millionaires) but very solid - saving and investing helped us get to where we needed to be. Dexter has pretty much retired from adventuring and likes to laze in the bush - not a fan of the heat and doesn't have the energy of the pups. He is a one in a million but this is his retirement also ❤ Have you visited the Garden Island before?

@@fijitimeislandlifevlog Hi Thomas :-) No we have not been to the garden island during our Fiji visits yet unfortunately. However after seeing your videos we are definitely keen to look at doing next time tho. We are so glad to hear Dexter is all good and just chilling during his retirement. We also have an older large dog with arthritis who just wants to spend her time resting most of the time these days too. We are so happy to see that Daniella has been rescuing some dogs while over there. Our teenage daughter found seeing all the skinny stray dogs in Fiji very hard and starting dreaming of moving to Fiji to set up a dog rescue centre to save all the dogs ❤️ A couple of questions that you may want to address during some of your videos if they aren’t too personal, are….have you found it quite lonely and isolating since your move over there and how are you supporting yourself financially? @@Pjf76 hi, if that's your daughters dream atm then she has a great heart ❤ unfortunately you cannot save them all, but education and population control will hopefully stop the suffering one day! Neither of us find it lonely or isolating, but everybody is different and clearly people deal with things differently. The same with finances, everybody's situations and realities are different. For us (average Joe's) short term sacrifice (14 years), not having a new car, the best phone, going to the pub, eating takeaway, satellite TV etc., hard saving and investing, means we can hopefully after the refurbishment, reap the long term gains! We've always had pets, never owned property in the UK, I supported my son to adulthood etc., so all the normal expenses along the way. So financially, the refurbishment is covered by savings (I got a good deal on the house) but day to day living is covered by interest from investments atm, whilst interest rates are good then this is sustainable - long term, Daniela has private pensions that can be taken early in 10ish years if required, but lets see 👀 hopefully the refurbishment will add decent value to the property, so we always have that as a get out! I'm not sure our limited audience are ready for such a vlog yet 🤣 thanks though!

Just to add, I/we were very fortunate to be born and raised in a developed country, with good access to free education - things which undoubtedly help in the long run and are taken for granted by others. Have a wonderful weekend 😀
