I purchased a pair of SS-6 stands. They arrived with a defect in the paint but I was told by Solidsteel that "this makes the products unique" and wished "I hope I appreciate their way of producing". Basically I was told to buzz off and enjoy Italian craftsmanship for what it is. Definitely NOT recommended. How can you enjoy a 500 euros pair of stands with a flaw in the finish?

The cut-outs in relation to the bottom holes of the top shelf are not centered at all! I can't get the legs straight and even struggle to get the within the cut-outs. Is there a reason for this or does my set have production errors?

The SS-7’s completely transformed my set up in both looks and sound. Assembly was quick & easy, however, partially filling them with #4 shot was very time consuming.

Looking forward to order a pair of raw SS-6. They're so beautiful and I hope they compliment my speakers as I think they will. What do you think about those little plates you put under the spikes to protect a wooden floor? Will this make the spikes useless? Or would it be better to place a heavy (heavier than stand plus speaker) stone plate under them without the little plates. And what do you think about the gel absorbers which drummers are using and some people under their speakers?

Do i need 2 or three anchor bolts…i bought one and there are only two holes in the back plate, but three screws are delivered and one hole is obviously prepared for an additional anchor bolt….so should i use two or three anchor bolts? Thanks….

What is the best way to adjust toe-in? With the speakers stuck to the top plate with the tack you provide, very difficult to adjust on carpet. Can top plate be kept a little loose so it can pivot and allow for toe in adjustments?

Purchased these speaker stands and due to extremely poor packaging (heavy components loose in box) there were multiple scuff marks on the base when they were delivered. You should invest more in your packaging particularly when shipping these stands overseas. Further, the connecting nuts inside the tubes are poorly formed. On two occassions, as soon as I began to screw the tube, the nut fell out of the tube. Finally, I will make comment on the logo sticker found on the base plates. It looks cheap for the brand they represent. I have removed both.

The last set of screws are not long enough.. going to the hardware store to get longer ones..

Just bought a pair of SS6. Very good quality stands, very satisfy. The only complain is the "solidsteel" stickers keep coming off LOL, need to get double sided tape to secure them.

If i cannot use the spikes since i have hardwood floors, what would be best as feet?

Hello thank you for the video. Question, why are you called Solid Steel when your products are hollow, they are not solid steel at all. I was at a HiFi shop to purchase a rack and speaker stands, and they were hollow, which is bad for audio purposes. So I declined to buy them, rather misleading dont you think!

Greetings from the United States. I do have a technical question. I am interested in buying the SS-7 Speaker stand, but I would really like to have a top plate that is 'customized' to work with the Bowers and Wilkins 705 S3 speaker. Are there any thoughts about allowing customers to order customized top plates for popular speaker models? It would seem to me this would be a great advantage for sales at your company, and would also serve the interests of customers best.

are the shelves real wood veneer or plastic wood print?

I bought a pair of SS-6. Had to send them back. Poor construction. The top plate wouldn’t snug up to the plastic spacer and o-ring. It had a large gap. You would think for $650.00 they would have better quality control. Thank goodness Music Direct has exceptional customer service. Took car of it right away.

Just bought a pair from Acton Gate Audio and I love them , they're just right for my Elac Velas . They look quality , real quality .

Are the three legs equally long like a tripod? I read before that the front two are shorter and there is a greater risk of the speaker and stand tipping forward?

Love the stands, they're probably the only part of my system I'll never replace! Just don't understand why you only sell the spike discs in a 4 pack when I need 6 - very annoying. Smh

What size would you recommend for the Polk lsim 703 speakers.

I think you have great products, but we bought this item in early March from ABT Electronics in Glenview, Il and have not received it yet. Have you stopped production of this piece? We're very disappointed, why have such a great product if you can't actually get them?

Hi, greatings from Hungary! I still have some questions after watching the FAQ: 1: you are also selling a wallmount turntable shelf. Purely from sound quality, which one is better for a turntable? 2: you mentioned that accessories can be purchased to extend the capcity.How many record storage levels can you have with keeping the structure solid? 2-3? For me 2 record shelves, 2 av shelves seems fine.

I received my pair of SS-6 stands today. The raw finish is fantastic, looks really cool and industrial. I filled each leg with some inert filler. My ATC SCM19s now sound so much better compared to the Custom Design 104 stands that I was using. A lot more bass and more expressive midrange.
