REAL US 757 PILOT LANDS FF 757-200 on XPLANE 11 | ONE TAKE
No Checklists used as they differ from company to company but here's a short 15 min video I made on landing the Flight Factor 757-200 into KSLC. Keep in mind I did this in One Take. Comments and Questions are welcome however please be respectful to each other.

Of all things to call yourself. Might I ask why did you choose Capta😮in chemtrell when? So many do not believe in chemtrails, but when you get down to the actual components of what it is is taking place, those are actual chemicals being introduced into the atmosphere. So why would it not be called chemtrails but you're nothing about that. You make a mockery of the ones that even say anything about it or point it out as the weather modification doesn't take place. Are you aware of the components that it takes to make that happen? Weather modification? I'm just curious and if you do drop your name dude, you're not Captain chemtrail by any means......call yourself cap n chem tail.. you're certainly not the real Captain chemtrail... Not even close
There was a guy once known as Captain chemtrail and you're not him. So he dropped off and you grabbed up his handle and he was about something totally different than what you're about. But you're making a mockery of it. Captain chemtrail.... Where oh where did the real captain chemteail go?
Hi Captain Chemtrails, quick question here: to engage the A/T in T/O thrust, do you hit the "THR" button of the MCP in the real airplane as well or is that something of the simulation? Don't you use a TOGA button located on the thrust levers?

Why are you putting in 250 as a selected speed instead of using the speed trans prompt? I thought that would command 240 until 10000 and then accelerate up to climb speed
Hey I'm so confused - to calculate v app I thought I was supposed to use vref + 15. Is that not true? I appreciate your insight! In XP12 if I use anything less than ref + 15, I lack the energy needed to successfully flare. Thanks in advance for your insight, and great job on your landing!

You should stop saying "nothing to worry about on a flightsim" for temps, or hydraulics, etc. Yeah, I get the reason why you say it, but some of us, simmers, are imagining that we are indeed on the real thing, so by saying this sentences you are killing all of the inmersion. Just my 2 cents... Great video, as it helped me!

I noticed you use FL Ch. is that similar to the VNAV on the descent? I use VNAV but have never used FLCH
Think of FLCH has a way to make sharper cut to make climbs and descent. In this scenario I had to vector myself off the arrival and join the approach which required a steeper descent without any altitude or speed constraints to worry about so VNAV would be pointless to use. Hope that makes sense as it fairly common in the real world.
I think you hit the rudder control when you were paused early in the video at 0:47. Not sure if you meant to do that. When you unpaused, the autopilot readjusted and turned left. Maybe that's where the "crab" (slight left turn?) during landing came from? Cool vid, btw. I'm thinking about getting the FF 757.
If you are referring to the rudder trim, no I did not, I was just setting the ILS frequency. As for the crab there was a slight crosswind as I am using Xenviro with the live weather of that day. It was so slight I didn’t realize it in the flare till I touched down. This is much easier to judge in a the 3D environment of the real plane vs a 2D monitor. But thanks for watching!

My LOC and APP aren’t working for some reason. Any ideas?
Make sure frequency and course are set correctly the runway you are landing on.
@@CaptainChemtrails okay, I am currently testing my LOC and APP buttons during flight and they don’t work. During what flight stage would be the correct time to press them?
@@JL-je5dm when utilizing a localizer for primary lateral guidance in the case of the LOC or in combination with the glide slope in the case of APP.
Hello. I am landing at an airport with an ILS freq of 109.9, however the aircraft will not allow me to tune to that frequency when VOR/DME is in manual mode. While in AUTO mode, will the aircraft tune itself to the correct ILS frequency once I arm the localizer on the MCP?

Absolutely!
@@CaptainChemtrails I'd love to fly 757 when it comes to commercial aviation. But I always have had a burning passion to fly and serve my country. Hence why I'm going to the US Air Force to fly fighter jets.

@@CaptainChemtrails Sorry. I'll try to be more precise. 🙂 On the 737 we can use speedbrake in conjunction with flaps until flaps 10 setting. Then speedbrakes must be retracted because are incompatible with flaps settings greater than 10. On the 757 there is any kind of this limitation? Thank you 🙂

Late-ish to the party, but I love the depth you go to in these three videos. Really enjoyed this series and hope that you do make some more content. The 757 is my favourite aircraft to fly and getting this insight into how you do things IRL is really interesting and helpful. I noticed that you enable VNAV whilst on the ground, is there particular reasons for doing that? Also in your take off video, I think you ended the video before engaging AP... at what point do you normally engage the AP?
Can you make a video about a RNAV app in the FF767?
Nice! Having those real pilot & company policy tips are priceless!, with regards to the autopilot, do you normally select the center AP to choose L for captain and R for FO or what’s the SOP on that?, thanks.
The company I flew for has a flow as follows:- At 1500 feet select climb thrust on the panel, press VNAV (we did not select it on the ground), centre autopilot to command, (these action were called for by pilot flying and actioned by pilot monitoring), then clean up flaps as required (all takeoffs were at flap 15). The 757 is a great aircraft to fly and this sim replicates that very well.

Thanks for these videos! I'm curious what your opinion is on the climb performance of the PW model FF 757? Myself and other users feel it seems under powered, contrary to the homesick angel reputation the 757 has. Even at modest weights and full clb power, she seems to take her time to get up to cruise. Thoughts?
Regarding the Tiller, you CAN set up a tiller on one of your controls separately from the rudder pedals and it will operate exactly as you describe.
