Are some games only made for North America and not the US? I noticed my Mario party is the NA version but my Mario cart is the US version. A lot of my games are actually the NA version and not US now that I'm looking.

I believe 4 versions of Asian releases exist (excluding japan and Korean versions). The China/Hong Kong/Taiwan version has the age rating in the bottom left as a square, then Southeast Asia has 3 different versions, one without any rating, one with with MSE on the back of the art, and one with a black rectangle that has the age rating in white text in the bottom left of the front cover.

The PAL version i had came in a soft plastic shockbox like old VHS tapes in video stores did. It was branded as HES and came with an attachment dongle to bypass the NES 10 chip that prevented non licenced games from running.
