Thanks for the reply. I too am really enjoying this amp more every day. Just so close to the tone in my head, just need to make a few tweaks. Was told a Tung Sol tube in V1 brightens the amp up with a little extra gain and I may swap one of my V30's with a Scumback G12H30. Keep rockin' the blues. Sounds great!

Thanks for your comments.Unfortunately, I recorded this track quite a while ago and can't remember the exact settings.It was certainly the drive channel, just enough to break up.The gtr volume was backed off probably to around 8..The BB was just used as a boost. I have an open back cabinet.I think the closed cabs certainly have a darker sound. It took me a while to get the best out of this amp but wouldn't change it for the world now, apart from maybe 20th Anniversary Shiva!Cheers.

I too have the LP Trad Plus and a Shiva(EL34). I am currently trying to tweak out the harshness out of the gain side. Find it a little to dry and growly (dark sounding). Not sure if its the EL34s or the Mesa closed back V30 2x12. Which channel are you using on this track? Are the pic settings on the amp what you were using? Sounds incredible. What was your toggle/vol./tone set at on the LP? Sorry for all the questions. Just got the Shiva & trying to quickly see if I'll keep it.

Excellent tones. I have this cabinet, and eagerly await the head. Very nice playing too, it shows of the musicality of the drive channel.
