So proud of you Dr.Sheila Myatra, the first female president of ISCCM! Your handwork and work ethic have got you so far, if I know anything about passion for work it is from you. You are truly an inspiration, and I am proud to call you my mummy🥰

If a person has an advanced directive stating that he should not be intubated, do we need medical board approval or inform to judicial magistrate before withholding intubation?
Yes we need the same process. An AMD clarifies the patient’s stand. We don’t need approval of the magistrate. Once decision is made we need only to notify the magistrate office which can be done via email also
Informative
Informative session Thanks sir I want know something different regarding negative brain stem sign. My question is whether the same policy applies to patients with brain stem negative signs.
That’s brain death. Regarded as death by the THOA.
If the patient is not a potential organ donor then supports should be withdrawn, after full communication with the next of kin
Very well explained Dr Mani. Excellent.

Remifentanil is a potent short-acting synthetic opioid analgesic medication. One of the key advantages of remifentanil is its rapid onset of action and short duration of effect. This makes it ideal for procedures where precise control over the level of sedation and analgesia is required, as its effects can be quickly adjusted or reversed. It can be used effectively for awake fibre-optic intubation and conscious sedation. When epidural is not possible, remifentanil patient-controlled analgesia can be used in obstetric units that are set up for its use.
Crisp and to the point . One question,, remifentanyl is now available in India , can u enlighten on it please
Acknowledge Introduction duration Explanation Thank you Not intolerance
The question is wrong. In the question you have asked which is not a driver of satisfaction???? But all the components meet the same outcome.
